Ouch! We had something like that attempting to colonize in the ceiling of my previous studio. A small matter to get some foaming gap filler to block off the entrance before too many of them gathered. This however looks like something else altogether. Good luck with that. Awesome pic BTW!

Last one of those I saw put me in the hospital and ever since when I see one the hair stands up and I get the chills. Lying on the table in ER I heard them say please find a vein as they were all collapsing but when the finally found one and injected me back I came as though it had never happened. My wife drove 70 from the dock and we never got help from the cops. My tongue had swelled so much I could not open my mouth.

They can really do humans some real damage. I had the same happen to me but it was fire ants that were the cause.
