Description
Edit: I'm just going to point this out to people in the comments: just because the Squaresoft logo appears on the box or upon bootup doesn't mean that they made it. Like for instance, one of the comments mentions Alacahest. That was made by Iwata via HAL Labs, Square only did the publishing. Breath of Fire has a similar treatment, but again that was made by Capcom, Square only published the US release on the SNES. And besides, it was also published by Ubi Soft in the PAL regions. As if that wasn't apparent, the character designer was Keiji Inafune (and will people PLEASE stop complaining about MN9?!)Marking the 10th anniversary of the Square and Enix merger, I have compiled a massive image of 99% of the villains of their games from the SNES era of gaming.

Was "Evo Search for Eden" actually made by Square Enix?

technically, none of Enix's games were made by them; they were the publishers

Saucer is the true Villain of BaHaRa.
Alcahest is a game by HAL Labs, ergo is a game by Nintendo not Square or Enix

Just curious but you didn't include any of the Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories Sprites. Couldn't find them or not important? Not complaining, just curious. This is a good picture.

well these are the villains while Square and Enix were still making games on the SNES, rather than the GBA, which was post-merger. But what I was able to do was compile them all in order of release date, finally adding Saruin today right under the DQ villains.
But regardless, some of the people on the KHInsider forums do like the idea of Ark, Blazer, and Dark Gaia appearing in Kingdom Hearts. My comment on it was:
-The Blazer could appear as an NPC or Boss that Sora must encounter as part of a challenge
-Much like in the Gaia Trilogy, a dog named Turbo (no relation to King Candy) could appear as part of a mission
-A sidequest throughout the game would have you finding rare gems and giving them to a jeweler named Gem, who transforms into a secret boss much like in the Illusion of Gaia (where he turns into Solid Arm/Metal Mantis from Soul Blazer).
-Ark from Terranigma would appear as an NPC that has a bit of a story behind him, much like the Restoration Committee and is in a quest which requires restoring a desolate part of a world much like how the Gaia Trilogy involves the restoration of the world.

For a role in the game, how do you tell a story about a man who is out to restore a destroyed world?
Maybe if Nomura can come up with some nonsense excuse to reintroduce "End of World" to the overall story, there could be a place for Ark to appear, but this would propably give him too much importance to the plot, when compared to how FF characters have only been functioning as cameos. (Some would argue that the Traverse Town gang in KHI is more than just a cameo, but for all subsequent games definately just cameos.)
If Ark were to just be a "nameless" NPC in any random world, maybe he could be presented as a person trying to help the world reach its maximum potential, but it turns out that he, unknowingly, ends up bringing the world to its doom too soon...
You know, as I'm writing this, I get the feeling he could be used as a party member.
First Sora meets him, they decide to work together to save the world, but as it turns out that Ark has brought the apocalypse forth, he breaks his connection to Sora, and Sora has to go out and find him to convince him that the end of the world isn't his fault.
In the end they join forces again, to take down the real evil, Ark's old village Elder, Dark Gaia!
But I really don't think there will be any Enix part of Square Enix owned properties in KH for quite a while, so...No...
Me:
Well I was thinking that Ark could be battled at some point after he is under the control of Dark Gaia (The elder tricks him with an illusion of one of the two Elles), Sora defeats him and then they fight DG. Sora then sees what the world that Ark was trying to rebuild, which happens to be the town of Crysta/Stockholm (OR if you want to be nitpicky about it "Storkholm")
Hmm... I think I might have inspired you with this wall of text for a future addition to the Reconnect Saga

Fantastic work ! This picture caresses my inner SNES RPG nerd with honey and balm. How come the Goddess from Breath of Fire isn't up there?

Because that was a Capcom game, Square only published the SNES version. The GBA version removes al credit to them

And I am shocked that you don't know Dark Gaia, since he's the villain of Illusion of Gaia, another Enix title.

Also adding to that, without the SE Dark Gaia, we wouldn't have Dark Gaia in Sonic Unleashed. For that matter, with Gaia herself, no Chip.
