Description Once again, I bring you the tidings of more additions and characters for 's Ultimate Sonic Fighter, this time dipping into the guests that appeared in Sonic the Comic, as well as some reps from their respective games.

Casey - Kid Chameleon [ripped by YoManRuLz] (Ray Chase/Daisuke Namikawa)
Joe Musashi - Revenge of Shinobi [ripped by Yawackhary] (Casey Robertson/Toshiyuki Morikawa)
Death Adder - Golden Axe - The Duel [ripped by Grim, edited by me] (Isaac J. Singleton Jr./Masaharu Satou]
Gilius Thunderhead - Golden Axe - The Duel [ripped by Grim] (Jamieson Price/Wataru Takagi]
Shion - Wonderboy in Monster World [Ripped by Ryan914] (Lani Minella/Hekiiru Shina)
Axel Stone - Streets of Rage [Ripped by Streets of Rage Online] (Matt Mercer/Tomokazu Sugita)
Max Thunder - Streets of Rage [Ripped by Streets of Rage Online] (Patrick Galligan/Tomokazu Seki)
Blaze Fielding - Streets of Rage [Ripped by Streets of Rage Online] (Laura Bailey/Eri Kitamura)
Eddie "Skates" Hunter - Streets of Rage [Ripped by Streets of Rage Online] (Sean Chiplock/Kumiko Watanabe)
Mr. X - Streets of Rage [Ripped by Streets of Rage Online] (Tom Wyner/Tomomichi Nishimura)
Shiva - Streets of Rage [Ripped by Streets of Rage Online] (Xander Mobus/Nobuyuki Hiyama)
Larcen Tyler - Eternal Champions  [Ripped by Belial] (Nolan North/Akio Ohtsuka)
Sparkster [Ripped by Ryan914, modified by me, colors by ] (Todd Haberkorn/Kazuya Nakai)
Axle Gear - Sparkster [Ripped by ] (Dave Vincent/Shin'ichiro Miki)
Chuck D. Head* - Decap Attack [ripped by Yawackhary, modified by me based on 's art] (Fred Tatasciore and Dennis Delk/Banjo and Wataru Takagi)
Megadroid [Made by ] (Billy Brown/Daisuke Kishio)

*Not present in the image, but present for Chuck in general:
Igor (Neil Ross/Tessho Genda)
Dr. Frank N. Stein** (Jeff Bennett/Joji Yanami and Tsugumo Mogami)

**This is because of the fact that one voice is supposed to be Frank's normal Cardiff accent, the other being his faked Bavarian accent.

And for the run down for my picks and reasons:

Ray Chase and Daisuke Namikawa - Since Casey is practically a shapeshifter, it would make sense if the voice actors were to pull off low to high pitch voices.  Ray can demonstrate this perfectly when comparing his role as Gebel in Bloodstained to his role as Roy in Fire Emblem.  Namikawa pulled this off as two brothers in Hetalia as both Italy and Romano.
Casey Robertson and Toshiyuki Morikawa - role reprisal from Shinobi '02
Isaac J. Singleton Jr. and Masaharu Satou - role reprisals from two differnt Golden Axe projects.  Satou voiced Death-Adder in the PC Engine CD port of the game while Isaac voiced him in Beast Rider.
Wataru Takagi - I needed to fill in for Takeshi Aono's passing in '12.  With Head, this would work as a way to make him sound more comedic, similar to Sodom.
Jamieson Price - Role reprisal from Beast Rider
Lani Minella and Hekiiru Shina - I needed someone that would more or less be of a younger tone, matching Shion's age.
Matt Mercer and Tomokazu Sugita - While Sugita recently voiced Axel in Project X Zone 2, Mercer was chosen for the English voice due to a scene where he mimics Chrom, also voiced by Sugita
Patrick Gallighan - If only to heighten Max's similarities to Alex
Tomokazu Seki - Sugita's real life friend and rival in the voice acting business
Laura Bailey - A case of Name's the Same with Blaze the Cat
Eri Kitamura - a nod to Street Fighter's Juri
Sean Chiplock and Kumiko Watanabe - Both were in Breath of the Wild as different allies, with Kumiko fitting with Skates' younger sounding voice from the original
Tomonichi Nishimura - Chosen due to his voicing one of the antagonists in Shinobi '02
Tom Wyner - Role association with Nishimura; both voiced M. Bison
Xander Mobus and Nobuyuki Hiyama - Due to Shiva being a hotblooded warrior under Mr. X's wing, it seemed fitting to have Hiyama voice him.  Mobus was mainly due to how he has become more popular in recent years following his roles as Master Hand and the Dark Prince
Nolan North and Akio Ohtsuka - Carryovers from Morph's Sega vs. Capcom idea.
Todd Haberkorn - already chosen by Morph
Kazuya Nakai - voiced Sparkster in his cameo in Mitsumete Knight, a dating sim RPG by Konami
Dave Vincent and Shin'chiro Miki - When I was working on a hybrid sprite for Axel similar to Sparkster's, I had the voice of Fate/Stay Night's Assassin Kojiro Sasaki in my head, figuring that both would fit the ultimate nemesis to Sparkster.

Fred Tatasciore  - Carryover from Morph's listing for Nutzan Bolt, who also has a Chuck skin

Banjo Ginga - Replacement for the late Unshou Ishizuka

Dennis Delk -
Neil Ross - The voice of Erasmus from the Quest for Glory series
Tessho Genda - Voice of Bronze Face in Xenoblade
Jeff Bennett - a nod to Sierra's Dr. Brain series, as well as Quest for Glory IV where Benett voices Dr. Crainium, who also has an Igor.  For the Cardiff voice, Bennett could do an impression of Colin Clive from the original Univesal Frankenstein film, where he played Baron Victor von Frankenstein.
Tsuguo Mogami - This is Frank's Cardiff voice, chosen due to his role as Andross in Star Fox 64 3D and Star Fox 0
Jōji Yanami - This is Frank's Bavarian voice, chosen due to the fact that Frank replaced his character, Old Man Tau, from the Magical Hat anime when it was made into Decap Attack
Billy Brown and Daisuke Kishio - This is more of a reference to Jet Set Radio, where Billy voices DJ Prof. K.  Kishio was chosen to compliment him, also acting as a link to Jet the Hawk and his impressive singing voice.

Oh yeah. I see this when I'm going through your movesets for a bit, and then remember - how on earth would Megadroid WORK? I can imagine him in a stage (I do have a stage based on Decap Attack that's specifically revolved around STC that could work), or do you actually have a moveset in mind?

I was thinking that Megadroid would work as a sort of amalgamate of various Western developed games, notably Vectorman, Marko, and Comix Zone. Although that's an interesting idea to have him as a stage cameo based on "STC Towers"

Your idea's not bad either - though I note Vectorman is a character I was plan on doing eventually. But it's not like that removes all that many moves.

Well, I have been planning Kid Chameleon and Gillius (Alongside Ax and Cronus) and a character from Wonder Boy...

But-- I was planning on Book the Hero/Bocke Lee Temjin because he's in three games and a remake, compared to Shion's one.

Actually Bocke was in two games (both on Master System), a port (アドベンチャーアイランド/Dragon's Curse on PC Engine), and the remake, not to mention that Shion was in StC proper.

Incorrect. Bocke was stated in three sources (The Manual for Wonder Boy: Monster Land, the recent remake Wonder Boy: Dragon's Trap, and by series creator Ryuichi Nishizawa himself) to be the same character as Boy from the original Wonder Boy.

This means he's appeared in the following games:
Wonder Boy
Wonder Boy Returns (But we don't talk about that one)
Wonder Boy: Monster Land
Wonder Boy III: Dragon's Trap (Monster Land II: Dragon's Trap in Japan)
It's port Adventure Island (Japanese Title)/Dragon's Curse (English Title)
And it's remake Wonder Boy: Dragon's Trap

Shion has only appeared in Wonder Boy in Monster World and the StC Comic

If you want to get technical, Boy/Bocke/Book also appeared as part of a disguise of the final boss in Wonder Boy III: Monster Lair and Shion was referenced in dialogue in Monster World IV... as having died in a black hole trap set by Biomeka near his home shortly after the events of Monster World.

So Bocke's been in over half the seires. Shion... is the only Wonder Boy/Monster World protagonist to die a sad death.

Actually that bit about Bocke being half the series: FALSE

Take a look at the Japanese materials: the hero of the original and Wonder Boy Returns is named "Boy". Bocke (named "Bukku" in Japan) being Boy was a marketing blurb not found in Japan. So it's still

Boy:
Wonder Boy / Wonder Boy Returns

Bocke:
Monster Land
Dragon's Trap / Curse / Remake
Cameo in Monster Lair

Shion:
Monster World
StC
Cameo in Monster World IV (Aeon Genesis translation)

That still leaves the Remake and the creator stating they're the same character.

"He's traded his skateboard for a sword and shield" - in game text, Wonder Boy: Dragon's Trap - and the remake was overseen by Nishizawa, so if it weren't true, he wouldn't have let it be added.

Also, two games is still more than Shion had -giving him enough for not just a moveset, but also a transformation based on his curses.

Finally, Having read through the entirety of StC three times? The StC Wonder Boy comics were pretty terrible. Of the comics you've picked to represent, they were kind of the worst - though there were worse comics, the Shining Force ones come to mind.

Link to the creator's statement? I already know about the manual for the remake, which is actually a joke regarding the marketing blueb for the original, but I need evidence of Nishizawa saying that Bocke = Tom-Tom/Boy.

Actually, it was on the character selection screen (in both the English and Japanese versions at that), not the manual - and I doubt they'd have put a line like that in the game just for a reference to something that, according to you, wasn't even in the Japanese original.

As for Nishizawa's statement, it's been a while since I've seen it, so I can't quite remember.

And you're completely ignoring my other point that Bocke has more to go on.

I have proof to bacl up my statements: the manuals for the Japanese versions of the originals.
Wonder Boy (SG-1000): ボーイ (page 2)
Wonder Boy (Game Gear): ボーイ(page 3)
Monster Land: ブック (page 2)
Monster World II: ブック (page 4)
(All taken from Sega Retro)
The PC Engine manuals make no mention if the Hero's name, not even in Japan, but it's clearly supposed to be Bocke.

And for that matter, Shion should be in this project seeing as StC only covered games on the MegaDrive and Dreamcast, extending into the Non-Sonic strips. The only element from a Game Gear or Master System title was with Fang, when he was presented as a former member of the Chaotix. With this on mind, it can be seen that Fleetway was more interested in the 16-bit powerhouse, rather than its older 8-bit cousin (despite being a darling in the UK, depending on how you look at it; Microcomputers were still massively popular in the UK until the MegaDrive came out), and this extends to the Wonder Boy series as it just picks up where Shion left off, despite how crap the stories were, meaning that Bocke and Boy are off the table.

Morph and I have already talked about Bocke, he found no problem with me using him. If you want Shion in? You'll have to write up his moveset and quotes yourself.
