Oh yes it does. It's a pretty personal illustration I made. It started has a commission, but since I had full liberty to do what I wanted, I've put together what matters most in this relationship I tried to portrait!

I don't understand were the concept of friendship comes into play, probably because I don't know how the imagery represents that. I like the work you have done in this piece though.

It's the growth together of two persons (that are the flowers in this case), the flourishing friendship, standing against the test of time, breaking barriers... Coz everyone is strong on their own, but together they are even stronger! That's what I tried to transmit at least...

Thanks for explaining your symbolism. It is hard to have clear symbolism to everyone because things mean different concepts depending on the persons perception. Objects like photographs are a history and chess pieces are an intellectual battle to me. They're pretty straight forward, but flowers can mean all sorts of things. Lilly flowers for example mean purity.
I like that you have many different objects together. It makes for a rich story.

Yes, the photograph has a whole story behind it. My chess pieces mean that the two persons are kings and queen of their own world...
