Oikawa Tooru. Volleyball captain and legendary setter, excelling student, wonderful friend, the list goes on. Oikawa Tooru, also statuses as your boyfriend, or as you liked to call him, your excessively clingy, overly-fervent, annoying, and talkative boyfriend. Well, those were all the things you said to his face without hesitation. The thing about Oikawa was, though, he could see right through you as if you were as transparent as a window. No matter how many names you called him, times you pushed him away, ignored him, he always knew your true feelings for him. And that's what made you love him so much.

It wasn't like you didn't enjoy his company or whatever, because you did. It's just that you didn't know how to react in an affectionate way. I mean, you weren't quite as experienced with relationships like Oikawa is, and you felt as if you were to attempt to show affection, you would just end up screwing it. So, you just chose not too. And luckily, that just made Oikawa chase you even more.

Truth was, you really did love him. The way he smiled. The way he said your name with honorifics so casually. The way he would always know what you liked and knew how to keep you happy. The way he would give you a bear hug every time he saw you in the mornings after a long night of not being with each other. Sometimes, you felt as though you didn't deserve such a boyfriend like him and you needed to commit more to this relationship.

So then, you decided it was about high time you tried.

"Hajime, what do you think?" You asked Iwaizumi as you explained to him your dilemma.

Currently, you two were at your house brainstorming ideas for what type of act of affection you would display Oikawa as a 'thank you' after a long study session for history. Iwaizumi and you were close friends from even before you knew Oikawa, since your parents were old friends from college.

He shrugged, "What do you think you should do?"

You groaned and glared at him slightly, "I don't know. That's why I'm asking you!"

He sighed and hesitated for a moment before speaking up, "How about chocolate?"

"What?"

"Chocolate. Like a box of chocolates like in those movies." Iwaizumi said while resting the back of his head on the couch.

"Ugh, no way! That's literally so cheesy i can smell it, Hajime."

"Just because it's a cliche doesn't mean it's not romantic." He said while drifting his gaze onto you. "And besides, Trashykawa has a thing for cliches anyways."

You signed in defeat, "Are you sure?"

"Definately. And write him a love letter with a bunch of lovey-dovey stuff in it. He's a slut for those things, you know."

You glared at him playfully as you two laughed about Assikawa and his strange ways.

NEXT DAY.

Today was the day that would either make or break your relationship. Well, it would break it, just probably embarrass yourself and having Tooru either laugh or coo on how cute you were.

There he was.

In the middle of the hallways with all of his fangirls. Shit. Why did they even follow him around like lost puppies? Didn't they have more important things like, I don't know.. SCHOOL!? Like for goodness sakes, it didn't even seem like some of them had lives besides fantasizing over him and liking all his selfies on Instagram.

But it didn't take long for his chocolate brown eyes to fall upon yours. A bright, genuine smile appeared on his face as he called you out, "(Y/n)-chan~! Come over here so I can give you a big hug!"

God, why did he have to be such a tease?

You rolled your eyes as you motioned for him to come over. Alone. He nodded as he told the group that he needed to talk with you. Some smiled. Some glared and made faces. To be honest, you couldn't give two shits.

As Oikawa made his way over to you, he brought you into a tight embrace. "I missed you!"

You gave him a questioning look after returning the action, "Tooru, we texted all last night and I saw you yesterday."

He gave a cute smile at that, "But I need to see more of you! I can't get enough of you, (y/n)-ch— hey, what's that? In your hands?"

You gave a sheepish smile as handed him the box of chocolates and the letter. "Here.."

He smiled brightly as he took the gifts, and read the letter while plopping a few chocolates in his mouth.

But before you thought he was done reading, he caught you off guard and passionately kissed your soft lips, "(Y/n)-chan~ this is so cute!"

You rubbed the back of your head with a bright red blush on your face that rivaled the Nekoma uniform, "Well, Tooru, it's because—" "No, I know already."

That's when you looked really confused, "What do you mean, you already know?"

"Iwa-chan told me~" He chirped as snaked an arm around your waist, while holding the box and letter in the other. "You know, (y/n) you don't have to worry about being affectionate or not, because I'll love you to the moon and back. After all, you are the cutest girlfriend ever."
