found it!! I know its a kit, but its still awesome! My husband, back when he was just my boyfriend, had a framed photograph of a red Cobra with white exhaust pipes. He told me that most of his girlfriends didnt like the fact the car was hanging up in his bedroom. I dont know why..... a single guy without framed photographs of hotrods is a weirdo in my book....
My hubby said if its a kit-car the year doesnt matter, could have been made last year, but its replicating a 60's era 427 ACE COBRA. , constructed by Carol Shelby the former race car driver who hitched up with Ford to make the Mustang a performance car. This is one of his all time favourites in the world
i still think its neat he can rattle off all that information just by looking at one picture
I love going to car shows with him, or heck.... just driving through town is loads of fun
all i have to do is point at a car and say "Whassat??" and he'll recite the make, model, and
any other interesting trivia lol he's such a guy sometimes

Your hubby sounds like mine. Only add that same amount of knowledge to sports, as well. Funny how the man can tell me who won the 1980 Superbowl, who the winning QB was, and where the man went to college, but can't remember to take out the trash without prodding!
Do you and your hubby watch the Barrett-Jackson auction on the Speed channel every year? Two years ago, Shelby was the guest of honor. One of his originals was signed by him....on the dash....went for tons of $$$!! We look forward to watching it each year. For 3 days, we become drooling couch potatoes!!

Actually we didnt have any kind of "contact" with the outside world unless we went outside lol until my mom moved in with us last year. She brought with her the satelite and all the stuff that goes along with it. Allen doesnt quite understand how to opperate the DVR yet, its funny to see him excited over a show and he's like "record it!! record it!! record it!!" he likes the Speedvision channel, or anything to do with mechanical thingies lol for the most part he's an old fashioned grease monkey. he used to work in his dad's auto shop when he was younger, and had the chance to take over the business when his dad retired.... he still kicks himself over that one.....
I think we watched Barret-Jackson auction together, but since he was working, he didnt get to see most of it. I hung around long enough to watch the MOPARS roll through, that got me drooling, honestly.. Of course you know what fans we are considering we named our two cats Hemi and Cuda
I'm thinking about joining your club actually. I have a few good photos from the car shows, some of them i'll have to doctor up.. plus Allen likes to draw cars when he gets time.... He's better at it than i am... Last night i went out on a limb and tried my hand at drawing a Honda Rebel, so i dunno if that counts for the club or not lol i may just settle for sending in pictures

You should definitely join, honey! And we'd love to see some of your car pics and drawings! Does your hubby have a dA account? If not, he could submit through yours....like a joint account thing. Several people around here have done that. The two other club founders are kick-ass at drawing cars! Me.....no way, man! I suck at it!

I've tried to get him to make a DA account but he always says he never has time for that kinda stuff.... he actually DOES have time for it, but thats not what he wants to do with his time lol so i may have to do the joint account thing. of course... most of his drawings are on napkins lol
as for my drawing skills... well you see what i do lol most times he laughs when i draw a car... its the equivilant of a stick figure... although i am proud of my bike
