Ah, yes, it was brought to my attention by a friend. I contacted the video creator via email and asked him if he would credit me, hence why he's done so in his description and annotations. I've since added a signature so that it doesn't inadvertently happen again.

I never said it was just "better than Sticker Star" (Even though it very much is). But I do genuinely think that Colour Splash is a great game overall. But each to their own.
That's perfectly okay to think that Colour Splash isn't for you. Because a lot of people will say the same thing, I don't want to shove my opinion down your throat so I'll just say that Paper Mario is indeed good again.

Honestly,Color Splash is a lot better then what most people expected from what I seen,its most certainly quite a few steps up from Shitter Star.

I'm glad I am not a part of the Paper Mario fanbase and have never played a single game in the series. this just seems so sad, stripping away everything that made the originals fun.

I played Sticker Star and the original. Both do have their charms... for the most part. While I do like Sticker Star. I don't see it as a Paper Mario "RPG" And I kinda use that term loosely. And I use the term RPG loosely. Because since when was it a good idea to remove a leveling system after the first 3 games kept it. An added bonus for not having a partner to battle with you. However I did hear this whole ordeal has something to do with the Mario and Luigi series. They must think since Mario and Luigi is the main RPG series. They just think that Paper Jam was enough. Even still. I'd probably buy it anyways. And besides. The other 3 Paper Mario are on eshop.

Yeah. The two are very different as well. And I think Arlo said it best. It lies mainly in their mechanics and tones. With Mario and luigi being more wacky and action oriented while Paper Mario is slightly more serious and a bit strategic. I might like the M&L series a bit more than Paper Mario. But there are definitely others who love the Paper Mario series. I really think it's a bad idea to stop one series because one seems a bit similar.
And TTYD wasn't on eshop? Hm. For a second I thought it was. Sorry but that.

taking into account some of the gamexplain analysis said about Color Splash i think there's a chance we might see partners return in Color Splash.
early trailers of Sticker Stars implied that Mario was gonna have a green Toad partner but i think that was removed because the developers figured that no one would want to micromanage multiple albums of stickers between multiple characters. maybe with the card and paint mechanics they've found a way to make it a less cumbersome ordeal.
Intelligent System (the team behind Paper Mario) has a recent history of making terrible games that are followed by amazing sequels. Fire Emblem 11 (Shadow Dragon) was a commercial failure (personally i found that while its story was shit its gameplay held up pretty well) but Fire Emblem 12 (Heroes of Light and Dark) took everything that FE11 did wrong and fixed all the problems (shame FE12 was never localized, i really need to figure out how to work a DS emulator so i can play the fan translation patch) and FE13 (Awakening) despite all its praise i found it boring to play through but then came FE14 (Fates) and it fixed nearly all the problems FE13 had, i can't get enough of it.
if Intelligent System can do it with Fire Emblem then maybe they can do it with Paper Mario.

It's because they have only complained about the graphics which was unfitting for a "dark" game series like Zelda because they looked too childrish, nothing more. The gameplay, characters, plots were still there unlike SS and CS.
