You're right. Tiose are different stairs. The first staircase was in a bad technical shape and must be renovated. What's more it turned out that old staircase is in the historical area, and it can't be covered with the painitng

well the painting still came out good! the stairs didn't bother that part too much, it just bothered me since i've never seen stairs designed this way
