Description

This... took a while. In fact I've been working on this since the end of November, more or less. Not constantly of course, but on and off from time to time.
So far this is one of the most time-intense works in a long time and also one of my more complex in general. Sure went a bit overboard here and yeah, I love it!

This is a Eclipse from the Sun and Moon Show. "A" being the important word, because the show also involves things like dimensional travel to parallel universes and timelines, magic, cosmic energies, history alteration and techno-organic animatronics among some other stuff that may or may not falls a bit besides common sense and logic and therefore you will find multiple and alternate versions of the same character in classic AU-style. XD
So yeah, this Eclipse here comes from another dimension. A dimension in which he won and became the primary ruler of his world and which he reshaped through his powers to his liking. He's just known as "Lord Eclipse" in the show and only had a few cameos so far, but those were quite important and left an impact with a good dose of foreshadowing.
His look in the show is not how I drew him here. Quiet frankly, we don't really know what he looks like, because whenever he appeared in a close-up, he wore a fullbody battle amour including helmet. So you can say I allowed my creative freedom to roam freely and simply gave him a design that still resembles an Eclipse.

In general, I've decided that I'd like to make an art of every relevant side-character in tSAMS at least once in one way or another as a sort of portrait or like this, in a character-/ lore-related scene.
So it's unlikely there will be art of any characters that showed up only once without any real relation to the lore as a filler of sort... unless I really like these, of course.
And it's important to keep in mind, that there are a lot of Eclipses at this point... so yeah... I'm not doing a lot of Eclipse-art because he's my favorite character or something. I like him a lot, but the same counts for Sun, Moon, Solar, Lunar, Earth and many more. So nothing like this being the inspiration. I do these arts based on inspiration and when I get fitting ideas.
