That's one emotional drawing...I though about the situation if Shadow would finally realise, that Maria still alive.
We all know Shadow as some kind of a badass, but he cares so much about Maria... I guess this could quite be his reaction.
I don't know if you can see it, but if you look close, you should be able to see, that Maria is touching the scar that is left from the shot.
This is one of my favorites, even tough, or may because of that, it is a plain picture with not so many colours in it.
