Description my interpretation of the famous, amazing, and unique fossil in which a fight between a velociraptor and protoceratops is preserved: the raptor attempting to use its claws, the protoceratops snapping at the raptor's forelimbs. they might be a touch cuddlier than previous versions, allowing for more recent insights about scales and feathers etc.

quick question i remember a while back that ceratopsids might have had a tail brush (like here) but in recent art i see no such thing, have we dropped that idea?

no, it is just that it is still in debate, that's all...

what if it wasn't the type of mosquito that was different in this alternate time line but a type of tree who's sticky resin preserves organisms for better than normal sap does, allowing the dinosaur blood to stay preserved instead of being degraded
yet again i am really bad when it comes to alternate histories so if someone thinks of a better idea go with them

well, maybe, but the real factor would come from theΒ mosquito, because if it had just sucked the blood of a dinosaur then it would already be digesting it, unless the digestion was a bit slower than most of it's cousins...

if that is the case it could be a type that digest slowly but drinks a LOT more blood than normal ones meaning it would rest and not feed for longer, increasing the chance of amber fossilization and making the blood harder to degrade due to there being more than usual
i think of the blood lickers from bloodborne but with wings

yeah, that's it! and it would increase the chances of certain mosquitos harbouring certain DNA, instead of mixing them...

that too
well then looks like we are looking for very large, very full mosquito relatives who may or may not look like monsters from bloodborne

Maybe, but all I can say is that if that that one sub-species of mosquito existed, it essentially made a butter-fly effect (orΒ mosquito effect LOL)
