Am I the only person on the planet who always forgets that there are two different versions of Shellos? Cause seriously, that knowledge always gets away from me somehow. Hell, I'll probably forget that I saw this in an hour or two from now.

You know, I have been meaning to ask, but what decides Shellos' east or west form when they have an egg together? The mother, the father, or where the little slug hatches?

The mother determines which Shellos form you get.

That makes sense because the parent Shellos form is originally dictated in Sinnoh.
If the hatching Shellos form was dictated in the same manner, transfering it to later games simply wouldn't agree with the mechanics.
