Please Read: I just want everyone that stops by this deviation to understand that this tutorial was made over 6 years ago and for a friend. I didn't even know what the meaning of tutorial meant when my friend asked me to help her draw a chibi. She just asked me to post it up and I did. I never thought that my tutorial would be so helpful not only to her but many of you deviants that stop by.I want to thank everyone that has found this deviation useful even if I no longer draw my chibi's this way. I would love to do an update of how my chibi's are now drawn but as more and more time goes by I see that it's not really about how the chibi's are really drawn but the message and tips that I give in the tutorial that are more helpful then the style it self.
Sadly I don't ever really plan on updating this deviation given the fact that my tutorial is the only one out there that really helps beginning artists. Other Chibi Tutorials are too challenging and mine seems to help people that are just starting out. So forgive me if this tutorial isn't as great as it can be drawing wise, but just try and pull the message out of it; Thank you!

Oh my gosh! I'm finally finish!!
This 'how to draw' thing one drove me crazy XD But its ok because I'm done. Wheeee! It only took me a month lol~
Anyhow, I did this for DevilsHaart I hope she likes it and finds it helpful. I'm not that great with chibi's but she saw one of my chibi drawings and asked if I could do a "How To Draw" of it =]

You are so welcome~ I'm glad to hear that it helped you. As for a new version, sadly i'm not so sure. There are already a few chibi tutorials that are within the style I draw now. This one is for beginners as you can see, but if I ever do make a newer version or even an updated one, I will get back to everyone on this tutorial. =]

Thank you for this! I have such a darn hard time drawing humans so I thought I'd go the chibi route. Well... they seem to be just as hard for me to draw! Gaahh! Lol I have a bad problem with trying to over complicate them with details and crap xP So thanks for this little tut! It helps a lot!

Nosrsly, I just drew a chibi of Capsule ([link] ) without looking and using that pointy-ish body, it made me happy!

Well... they are good i guess... but look at the other styles of chibi. All are cute as a dumpling! Yours are squished and dull...

Look, I know you are trying to be straight out rude by hint that my Chibi drawings aren't good.
Well first of all, it's not about the drawings, it's about the message on how to draw Chibi's. That's what makes my tutorial always in the top 10 in the DeviantART Chibi search.
Second, like my tutorial says, there are no rights or wrong ways to draw a Chibi as long as you make them small and big headed. People have many different styles and forms of art and mine is just one of them.
Third, this tutorial was made 3 years ago and for a friend; I didn't expect it to be in the top 10 of DeviantART Chibi searches but it is. And if you haven't noticed my work, along with my Chibi's have evolved in those 3 years.
I would have changed the way the Chibi's look by updating my style, but over a thousand people that have stopped by has found this tutorial to be helpful in starting their way off in drawing a Chibi. Other tutorials are way too hard for beginning artists and I have been told that many times in the comments below. Plus the people that use my tutorial don't always keep the style of the Chibi's the tutorial is in because it is the artist's job to better themselves on their own; I just give them a push.
If you don't like how my Chibi's look in my tutorial then that is your problem but try to keep rude and hateful comments to yourself. All you have to do is close the tap and move on to a tutorial that suits the style you are looking for, that's all. So my advice to you is to be a little kinder because people here on DeviantART don't take kindly to massages like the one you sent.

Look... i dont need to like everything, and that is where you are wrong. I am not being a jerk, okay? I am just being a chibi critique because the style of Chibi is the brother/sister to the kawaii style of art. And kawaii means Cute in japanese. Chibi is supposed to be extra cute and child like. I am just telling you that there are other styles you could check out and get advice from. I had know idea that, that tutorial was 3 years old and i am sorry i didnt see that. BUT, i have checked out your newer drawings and they are much better. But my style of chibis is FAR different from yours and i have learned to grow onto that style. My style has cute eyes and is not squished in the body (like in you OLD drawings)
Dont tell me i am being a jerk, because the way you are taking this is really childish. Your avatar is really cute and is some-what what i like (you probably dont care)

First, I didn't say you have to like or love anything. I said that you don't have to be rude. You are, even if you think you aren't. I understand 100% that not everyone likes what another likes, nor was I trying to make you like my tutorial. I was just explaining myself and why my tutorial looks the way it does.
But I'm not going to sit here and argue with you seeing as you obviously miss the point in which everyone has a different way of drawing things and this is one of them. I don't feel like I was being childish... though you have your right to your opinion on what you think of me. Just like I have my right to my opinion on what I think of you. Though I will keep that to myself ^^

I saw that you apologized but that doesn't excuse what you did or said. It was hurtful and you shouldn't go around belittling people or how they draw.
Plus if you don't like being called things you believe you aren't, then try to be a better person; not that I'm saying you aren't a good person, but your actions say otherwise.
