i was 11 when i had to learn it *___*
and my husband was 20, so... when i speak, there is no diference to the "real germans" i have no accent or somthing, but he still have problems ... the most with this "der/die/das" things

11 is young enough to learn a language the right way yeah, but 20... XD But seriously, when you're not used to the der/die/das, it's easy to say something like 'die Vater'

When you always use 'der' you must get it right at some point, but when you constantly switch between der/die/das there's also a change you'll never get it right

Except for the words like 'Vater' and 'Frau' I guess, but I've always wondered, is it really that weird when someone accidentally says 'meine Vater' instead of 'mein Vater'? xD;
