Nice tutorial one thing you could add is that you can render out any c4d object by using object buffer through the mulit-pass option, or if there is only one object or you have no background colors that are similar to the material on the object(for this you would most likey render it out with black-default, but if you had a background reflectiong or illumination on the material you should use object buffer), you can go to save in render option and make a path and choose .psd(for best quality) and check the alpha channel. This way, when you open it in PS you go to channels and ctrl+right click the alpha channel and it will make a selection which then you can inverse and click delete and save a ton of erasing time.
Good job on this!

@Tamilia
nice tut i tried it but it didnt come out as great as yours
but still i got an idea of how to make it
@VentAnger
i think it is not just enough to download stuff and put it together you have to arrange it really good to have a good effect and get a good look
i think that is what most of her tutorials show... its not only good technique that make your artworks great but also to get/have an eye for details and how things look good together

I don't think it's technically a tutorial if it can be summed up with "Download things from these websites, and lay them on top of each other. Then sit back and revel at your amazing photochop talents."

im not sure about your comment... my english is to bad... but, i just try to show ppl how to make some nice wallpaper even if they are beginners... it can be really depressing if u try and try to make something and it doesnt work... so this is only to show, that it doesnt have to be complicated...
i never said im "amazing talented" here on dA are sooooooo many great talents, so i would never say i am one of them ... as long as there are people, who make abstrakt renders/stocks/brushes and allow other people to use them, i think its ok if ppl use them ...

Very instructive, well done!
It still irks me though when people use other people's renders and brushes instead of doing their own art..
π: 0 β©: 1
Tamilia In reply to fense [2008-07-04 17:12:49 +0000 UTC]
well not everyone can work with cinema to make abstract renders or have no idea how to make brushes... and i think, as long as they allow to use their stuff its ok...
so thanks ...

Well that is true, and it is a good step on their way of learning how to make those for themselves, as thanks to you they already know how to incorporate them into a piece.
