I’m gonna be honest here, I find it ridiculous that one pair of yellow sandals can keep a whole family from going rebel. To me, this whole episode seemed like no guts no glori and butterfly effect, two of my least favorite LH episodes.

I’m just glad The whole episode was actually just a bad dream Carl had, but for some reason he couldn’t shake it off. So he ran to Rosa and told her all about his nightmare, and promises that he’ll do whatever she says from now on as long as she doesn’t use the evil chancla.

Rosa calms carl down and assures him that something like what happened in his dream would never happen. And how does she knows about this? She once went a whole day without using her shoes as weapons and everyone else just behaved well and didn’t go crazy like in Carl’s dream (except for Sergio, but Rosa used a rolling pin instead). And she confesses something as well. She finally realizes that she was being a little too hard using her own shoes as weapons, and she promises that while she’ll still be firm and reasonable about getting everyone to do what she wants and make sure they don’t go as crazy as they did in Carl’s nightmare, she’ll never use chanclas as a method for control ever again. Besides, the pair she had now was getting worn out.
