Another photographer wasn't able to make it to the team roping this weekend, so I was subbed in. I've only photographed one on my own and went to a class about photographing team roping at the beginning of March. I was a bit out of my element as I worked from 1000-2030 last night, and I still missed the third roping because all of my batteries had died. Photographing a team roping is not for the weak. It's long, constant hours with no bathroom breaks. Fortunately I had learned my lesson and packed plenty of snacks and water.

It's amazing seeing what these cowboys and cowgirls can accomplish together in less than 15 seconds.
