Description
this was probably the most moving afternoon during my trip to japan. it was one of our free afternoons, and i was wandering around the city by myself. it started raining just as i entered an empty buddhist temple. i wandered through to the back, and found the hillside beyond was a graveyard. i walked through it for over 2 hours, alone with the rain, just thinking about everything i'd seen in the past week and about my own experiences.this was in nagasaki.

Wowee, this is very majestic. I love the fog lingering in all the little nooks and whatnot.
Awesome photo.
Cheers,

This cemetery reminds me all that japanese stories about ghosts ... like that famous Ueda Aki`s one whose title is something like "date the day of the chrysanthemum" (sorry, i donΒ΄t know the exact tile in english).

I love this environment. Japan is so beautiful i would love to go over and see it all. I went to a thai buddhist temple a few years back and that was amazing also.

i can imagine, temples and monasteries have always had an attraction for me. the trip i took to japan last summer was part of a very soft course on architecture, my focus was spiritual places....and of al of the sites i went to, this was by far my favorite
