Description
Originally I was intending to make a journal entry about my time at Ikkicon VII, but then I figured this would be more fun. XD I'll summarize the unmentioned stuff in a few points.

1. When we first got to the convention it was pretty packed. Unfortunately check in was reeeeally late in the day and we had to keep our bags in the van.
2. It was lucky I had brought my sewing kit- quite a few costume malfunctions!
3. Horns. Horns everywhere.
4. The weird fangirl is actually someone who has found and followed me at multiple conventions. She creeps me out like no body's business. And she kept trying to push my Ragnarok away- he showed a rare moment of anger and ended up snapping at her.
5. Confusing Austin is confusing. We got lost so many times trying to find food.
6. I actually wore my steampunk dress to the ball. The first few songs were great, but then they started playing rave-like music. I have no idea how to dance to that. O.o I also got a few people that wanted to dance with me- but rather than ask like a normal person they just sorta sidled up next to me and then stayed awkwardly silent...
7. The game room was fun and decently big. Shadow totally dominated (at least me) at Smash Bros and I got a bit of DDR in.
8. A lot of the panels were impromptu rather than planned out, so a lot of rambunctiousness. Not all of it good. The dating game panel, for example, was funny up to a point until a couple of audience members made a bid for attention and became disruptive. Cosplay chess was fun though- our Shadow and Sonic got to participate! Unfortunately the pokemon cosplay battle panel was a flop- we showed up all prepared for it but the hosts were a no show.
9. On Sunday there was a really weird scent in the dealer room- kinda sickly sweet. It was giving a lot of people headaches and I know I definitely felt lightheaded and a bit sick from it. Dunno what that was about but it was unpleasant.
10. We all definitely want to give another convention trip a try, but it won't be Ikkicon again. Perhaps A-Kon may be on the horizon...
