Description I was given a new scanner for Christmas, and once it was installed I gave it a trail run. I picked for old colour pieces from 1985 that had never been scanned from the originals before. The old scanner was a Canon Lide 50, and the new scanner is a similar but more modern Lide 100. It seems to do an even better job.

Two of the pieces I picked to scan were from the days when I did pastiches, trades, and collabs with another artist. We've parted ways since then, and the art has been largely under wraps the last 25 years. Until today, the colour work has never been published or posted on-line. This is one of my favourite pieces too -- I love the rich blue sky and sense of distance. I don't have the patience or time to do much work like this anymore. It took a couple of weeks, and most of it never made me a dime. I believe I sold a number of colour prints of this though -- either of the orignal version (seen here) or of an version created later to change the appearance of the commando(e) figure.

Beautiful picture Taral. Lush colours, the sexy girl with such fine curves. The details on the firearm and clothing are just right. Not too little, not too much.

One of the first pieces of yours I got my hands on was a copy of this from my ex-brother in law's first violent GAFIAtion. I have to wonder if it was mimmeo'ed or something, because I seem to recall it being kind of bluish.

I would never have tried to mimeograph this -- each colour has to have a separate stencil and run through the machine. It would matter, too, which colour was printed on top of other colours.

Likely you saw a colour xerox. I may have sold them as "prints" for a while.

I meant the line-art version. This would have been in the mid '80's, so well before color Xerox.

Yeah. The line art appeared as a cover on at least File 770, on one of my Rowrbrazzle zines, and perhaps elsewhere.
