I refuse to believe Discord became good at the drop of a hat. He must have realized Fluttershy wasn't going to put up with his crap anymore and quit his little game with her for the time being. I can almost guarantee Studio B has some plan to bring him back wreaking more havoc than ever, not that he's infiltrated Canterlot and the Princesses lives.
