I finally finished this!!!!!I wrote the poem in 9th grade (2011) as a vent, and I did all the art this month (June 2013) as a summer project. All the circular panels are done in ink, acrylic, and watercolor on 400 gsm acrylic paper. You can also read the whole thing on smackjeeves if you want to see it in slightly higher resolution: [link]
I really hope you don't find this sad, because I meant it to be uplifting. If you can't tell, it's aimed at young people who are depressed and considering suicide -- which, unfortunately, is a large portion of young people.
I'll write the message here to be as blatant as possible: Your life will get better. I was seriously depressed a few years ago, and my situation has improved more than I ever would have believed back then. No matter how bad things get, don't give up. A new day is dawning.

it is hard to deal with situations in which you are stuck and canΒ΄t see the way anymore, reeling and finally ceising. forced stagnation always caused me to curl up and want to be left alone. but iΒ learned, that, after a time where depression and sadness are too strong to even raise a hand, itΒ΄s special friends, partners, parents who can help find perspective, a bigger picture, in live.
even or especially strangers can sometimes help with a few words of wisdom and experience, casting light on an unknown path.
i found it most important not to withdraw entirely, but learn to depend on few people who will be there for you. step out of the darkness to find comfort and new aims. be strong on your own, let others in tho.

you might want to do some studies on ellipses (cylinders) in perspective. I've noticed that yours get wonky at times like on the buildings and such. in frame 10 and 12 they don't look round but more like a eye shape. also in the last frame you seem afraid to put the figure behind the railing when if you considered the perspective he would be. That said, I can never say enough about your craftsmanship and style (it's top-notch).

This really is a beautiful poem. It hones in on the dark and haunting thoughts someone in depression might be having but you still move to the beauty that is worth living for.
The illustrations are magnificent, as always. The colors are perfect for every verse. Haunting blood reds, deep purple, uplifting orange. Fantastic job. Simply brilliant.
