Description Decided to this pic on a whim and it soon became this, and i figure the Blu Ray are out tomorrow, so it can be to mark that hehehe.
love it or hate it, i think eeeeeveryone knows who these characters are.

wanted to show the link between the heros on the prequel trilogy and original trilogy. and showing the confusion between the so called prophecy. anakin is supposed to restore balance, but turns to the darkside and its his son who has to put shit right, but in the end its anakin that kills the emperor... so make of it as you will hehehe

The truth is that the prophecy was bullshit. The Jedi had their heads driven too far up their own dogma and doctorine to realize the prophecy was false and that their own doom was approaching them. They only realized when it was already too late.

Whoever said restoring Balance meant destroying the Dark and raising the Light? That seems pretty unBalanced to me.

Wonderful pic, by the way. Love the conflict in it.

Anakin Skywalker is honestly the Jedi/Sith of all time. He is the Chosen One and he will always be remembered as a hero.

Neat!
And if you want an answer ot the prophecy question, on the ROTS DVD there's a bonus feature called "The Chosen One" where Obi-Wan explains it all.

LOL, I do stuff like that sometimes.
I was looking over my notes from Government class once and saw that I'd written the word "vampire" instead of what was supposed to go there and I was just thinking, "Huh? Where in the world did THAT come from? I don't even like Twilight!"

He was actually on both sides for 23 years equally. At 23 years old, he was a Jedi and turned to the Dark side and at 46 years old, he was a Sith who became a Jedi again.

Anakin's turn to the dark side is actually important. He was meant to bring balance to the Force, but not the way the Jedi perceived it. They thoughtο»Ώ he would just destroy the Sith and that alone would bring balance. But they forget: to bring balance, you must weigh both sides of the scale equally. Anakin HAD to turn Dark side in order to fulfill the Prophecy. In turning to the Dark side, Anakin Skywalker was restoring balance.

Mununsah In reply to BlackSpider-Man [2011-11-19 05:14:48 +0000 UTC]

i totally agree. as the laws of duality dictates, you can't have one with other. in anakins case, he had to enbrace both the hellish dark side as well as the dogmatic view of the light to bring balance to the force. even as darth vader, there's still good in him. Padme believed it and so did Luke. In the End, he ultimately turn on Palpatine before he died.

πŸ‘: 1 ⏩: 1

BlackSpider-Man In reply to Mununsah [2011-11-19 09:51:56 +0000 UTC]

Yea. Besides, the main reason he turned was to save Padme. That's all he ever wanted. He didn't want to kill the Jedi at all. All he wanted was to save Padme. Wouldn't we all turn to the side of evil if it meant keeping the ones we loved safe and out of harm? And he did bring balance to the Force. He brought the Jedi Order to power through the Clone Wars and then destroyed them. In a way, Anakin was right when he was talking to Obi-Wan at the Well of The Dark Side. He said "It is the Jedi who would stand in the way of peace." And sure he became Dark and depraved because of love, but it also saved him, too. Love doesn't make people evil, it makes them do evil things is all. Besides, love also saves, just like Anakin's love for his son called him back to the Light. And after all, Anakin is pretty much the living Force. He had both light and dark qualities in him. Light and dark are always at war inside of people. In Anakin's case, it took its toll on him at times.

TCH2 In reply to BlackSpider-Man [2012-03-04 15:43:02 +0000 UTC]

Exactly. What Anakin did was actually remarkably human. I respect the Jedi but they always undervalued the power of love and never made Anakin feel better about losing loved ones.
I think you're right about Anakin not wanting to kill the Jedi but he felt it had to be done, to end conflict in the galaxy. He wanted peace as well.
Love is indeed the most powerful force ever; it makes us go to our full potential and motivates us. Great explanations of Anakin!

Sidious underestimated love too (doesn't surprise me, he's basically a psychopath, which is what makes him so terrifying.) He didn't realize how powerful the love a parent has for their child; a parent will sacrifice their live for their child. He tortured the man's son in front of him while he screamed for his father to save him. The Jedi also didn't understand emotions and just expected Anakin to not have emotions rather than helping him to control and express them in a healthy manner. Padme was the only person that truly validated his feelings. Anakin was a very passionate and emotional person and he couldn't just change that; it was part of who he was. One of the main reasons that Luke didn't end up as screwed up as his dad was that was able to express his emotions rather than being taught to suppress them. It also didn't help that they had no knowledge of psychology or mental illness despite being thousands of years in the future. It was obvious that Anakin had serious mental issues and wanted help from the other Jedi.

Yea. There can be no balance without both sides being equal. Anakin had brought both the Light and Dark sides to power and ultimately destroyed them both, leaving a stalemate. Basically, sometimes the best balance is if there is nothing on either sides of the scale at all.

Even though Anakin is dead, his legacy will live on in his descendants and they will always be there to bring balance whenever the Sith return. Anakin Skywalker is honestly the greatest Jedi/Sith of all time.
