Description Uhm, true story this... I don't know why but this morning everything was striking me as unbearably hilarious. My throat was sore, so laughing hurt like hell, and yet I couldn't stop.

And then this happened. My cat, Fritz, was sitting on the end of the couch, just STARING at me... for...about 2 minutes straight?

And so, I tried staring back at him, but couldn't because I just started laughing. And he didn't shift or change expression or anything, he just kept STARING, despite the fact that I'm laughing like a loony by this point. And just the knowledge that he's not reacting to me laughing my face off made me laugh harder.

I tried to explain myself to my husband, and that just made me laugh. And then I tried to explain to a friend online, and I started laughing all over again. So, I drew this to exorcise the giggles.

It seems to have worked.

...FOR NOW.

You should see my cat Cosmos...he just plain stares! I once timed him just siting down and staring at nothing...without blinking...for almost ten freaking minutes! I'm not joking! Afterwards, I guess he got bored with staring at whatever he was staring at and trotted away like the drag queen he is.

Plain and simple, Cosmos is the wierdest cat in the world.

Yeah! This is the way it goes! Fritz is just a moody bastard that thinks himself into a whiny hole.

Yeah, Fritz behaves like Toothless, and my little one, Deos acts just like the little bug-eyed dragons from HtTyD too!

God that was a great movie! I can't wait for the next installment that comes out in 2013! I must admit that I am a huge fan of Jay Buchel ( I know i just slaughtered his last name, but he's the actor that plays Hiccup).

Effin' cats. My cat Rocket is sitting right next to me and he's rolling all over the bed kneading at my side, then he'll roll over and murr at me, before headbutting me for pitty pats. He's the kind of cat who, in the middle of the night, will leave socks outside your door (only mine ... ), or if he wants in will pound and pound and pound at 3AM and caterwaul until I let him into my bedroom. But I always let him in, and he sleeps soundly the entire night. <3 He is made of cute and win. He's part Siamese, but mostly silver tabby. He has beautiful marking, with a beige tummy, and has green-blue eyes that get so huge you just melt. Plus when he stares at you he goes cross-eyed, and he also purrs really heavily with his mouth open, so he sounds like he's all turned on. XD It's greeeat.

Hahahaha! that sounds threemazing.

I have Fritz, who stars in this lil' number. He's an English Shorthair, all silvery and stripey and white underbelly and tinges of gold to his fringes. He's the most emotional, expressive cat I've ever known. He's very clever, but also a bit of a brat. He's a huge mooch, eats like a dog, gives you kisses and doe-eyes only on his terms, is highly sensitive to insults but equally receptive to compliments. And he'll baseball bat your food out of your hand and steal it given the chance.

And then I have Deos, this demented Abyssinian Ruddy. He's always happy and up-beat. But he only has two settings: ON and OFF. The OFF setting is stupidly, mind-meltingly adorable. He just ooooozes and puuuurrs and no matter what you do to him - flop him about, roll him up, snuggle him, stuff him into your shirt, wear him like a stole - all's good so long as you're touching him, and he kneads the everliving snot out of you. The ON setting is happy, wanton, cocain-induced frenzy. He'll tear around the house at high speed, flinging himself off of everyone and every thing, steal everything he can get his paws on, attack your feet as a kind of 'ha ha! I got you' game, climb to the top of mount everest and steal all your food.

Cats. Who needs kids?

Ffff, I agree with the kids bit. XP I have five cats. D: They're all individually messed and cute in their own way. Baby is literally retarded and dropped out of cat school along the way. XP She's a black long furred cat. Himalayan or whatever? All the rest of my cats, except for Zorro (tuxedo cat), are tabbies. I have a normal tabby named Tiger who is MY BABY. <3 He's a HUGE suck. Loves to be wet down, loves to be loved and snuggle (only by me C and he sits like a hooman bean in muh arms. It's cute. And he greats me every morning at my door and says goodnight. His favorite place is the bathroom.

Zorro is a TANK. He's huge! 19.5lbs. And he totally just LOUNGES. We have this chair where he literally sits in it like a human, leans back, and puts his paw on the arm rest. XP

Amber is ... well, the only quirky thing about her is her ADORABLENESS and whenever the kettle goes off she runs into the kitchen and digs for China. XD

I love caaaats. C:

Yes! It -freaks- me out when my kitton does that. I'll be trying to have sexy times, and i hear this purring and i look over and my kitton is just sittin' on the bed, happy smile of his face, watching. And I'm all: uuuh, voyeur-kitton is vetoed, sorry.

funnily enough, both my cats have learned not to get into staring contests with me...what with my ability to stare unblinking for 5 minutes straight or so...though usually they just get bored and wander off, so I guess I fail at being dominant

tarorae In reply to Amoryl [2011-05-08 04:25:18 +0000 UTC]

Yah one of mine just gets bored and leaves, the other will just sit there and look at me, whether I'm looking at him or not. I really wonder what's going through his head... 'Cuz when he's doing it, he has suuuch a blank look on his face, but his eyes are sooo focused.

Yah, it wasn't a alicious stare, just totally deadpan. I have to wonder if he was contemplating something - perhaps idly wondering what I would taste like.

Amoryl In reply to tarorae [2011-05-09 04:08:55 +0000 UTC]

I suspect they constantly think that, "what would they taste like..." "how do they do that thing with that sideways finger..." "if we ever learn to use the can opener..."
