I guess that I've taken this drawing about as far as I can.I still don't love it. But it did give me an idea for something I might draw later.
Thank you Jade for making me get in some much needed anatomy and color practice! (I am going to work on drawing mens chest!)
About the image you are seeing. The real drawing isn't as smooth and the colors are not quite as bright. I was going to post the drawing with just a crop and size export-but the photo does not do the inks or pencils justice. Picasa tweaked this.

The drawing was done in pencil, inked with micron o.o5, then colored with Inktense and Graphitint, as well as blender and rubbed with a tortillion, I couldn't get his pants black enough with colored pencil, so I did a black ink wash. The only thing that tweaked the image was Picasa, I have to use it to export the image.

Love the pose and anatomy is great! just need to tweak your colouring skills hehe. The shading is great on his pants and his markings just need to have dark shadows on the limbs too ( and yes markings plus lightning can be difficult). Your drawing skills though are great I love his feet for some reason.

When I was drawing, and coloring this, I kept wondering how to shade it. I used ref for the anatomy-but the drawing is from imagination.
I will try and remember your advice about the shading on his limbs and continue to work on coloring. That black on white paper-I ended up doing an ink wash.
I like his feet too-but they could be a little wierder
