Description I was kinda sad they left this out in the movie - this and all the other stuff in the maze.

I really wanted to do some more work on this one by my paper was starting to go soggy! Maybe I'll try it again in the future

I'm glad that you painted this scene. It was a wonderful moment that the movies deleted and not too many people remember it.
I love your sphynx!

Yay I get to be first commenter on your awesomeness! Weirdly, was just watching GOF again tonight, and was commenting to my kid, "Ya know, it really stinks they left out the sphinx, the spider, the blast-ended skrewt...all it was was creepy hedges and lots of wind! Oooh, scarrrry wiiiind." Wait...was there a spider? Or am I just thinking that because it was the answer to her riddle? *headdesk*
Not quiiiiitteee how I pictured the Sphinx, but close enough because I don't think anyone else has drawn this. I really love Harry's thinking expression, and you did an awesome job 'lighting up' the hedge where the lumos spell reflects.
I can go on and on about how GOF the movie stunk, but suffice to say that I'm virtually hugging you for drawing another book scene!

I know! I suppose it would have been extra CGI they didn't want to use. I actually really like Goblet film but only if I don't try to compare it to the books - then I end up getting angry!
I've never drawn the sphinx before and hadn't really thought much about how she looked. The thing I like about Rowling's writing is she gives you a description but without thousands of details, so your imagination is still left to do its own thing.
