Description
UpdatedLong time coming but the set is now complete and includes ember Celica.
To celebrate my reaching of 200 watchers, I've decided to upload my 1:1 scaled ready to use blueprints of the RWBY weapons I've made to date.
In this kit you will find the drawings I used to make Crescent Rose, Myrtenaster and Gambol Shroud from the upcoming series RWBY currently being produced by Monty Oum and his team at Roosterteeth.
This is my way of saying thank you! to you out there for taking an interest in my work and hope you will join me for the many endeavors to come
It is also my way of supporting the show and giving back to the community that has been good to me, so I hope these will be great aid to you in your own making and cosplaying projects and I hope to see what you are all capable of how you will use them.
To see how I used these drawing head on over to the blog to pick up an idea you may want to try out.
How to Download
Simply click the "download file" button on the far right side of the page and follow the prompts to download the RAR file.
From there, extract the file to find enclosed; the four PDFs for each of the weapons.
Instructions on how to assemble and use the build kits is written in the PDFS so have fun and enjoy.
If your lost on how to build using the drawings head on over to the blog to get you started and give you some ideas you might want to try out.

Thanks so much. Some buddies and I are doing gender-bent (male versions) of the main RWBY team, and your design for Ember Celica is going to really help out. Just wondering though, if I need to scale it (i'm 6'5", so it might be to short or small for my arms, is there an easy way to do that in Adobe Reader? Or in Fireworks if need be?

I would just print it out, and edit it by hand either on the paper or transfer it to another piece of paper. I like to transfer all my patterns onto posterboard (its super cheap). or if you don't have any on you, use could use the "white" side on wrapping paper (its even better if it has a grid on the back!).

Hi! Awesome work
I am trying to download this file and extract it, but I can't seem to figure out how to extract it D: like if I try to open it, it tells me I don't have a program to open it. Even when I locate the file in downloads it doesn't give me extract as an option. Please help because I wish to use this 1:1 scale to make my Myrtenaster, thank you~!

Hi thanks for uploading these beautiful templates but I have a question for the ember celica.
for the top fin did you glue it on after painting the whole thing? Or are you able to take it on and off? I am a bit confused on that part thanks!

Tatsutetsu In reply to blackk49 [2014-03-15 04:26:51 +0000 UTC]
everything is super glued together for my ones, you could have it come off by using velcrow if you wanted but for me i made them all one solid piece when i primed for painting

Your very welcome ^^ I look forward to how it turns out!
For the bullet you could try and make it out of PVC pipe or something tube shaped and thin enough

Thanks man. Don't have access to woodshop classes, any idea of good books/websites/people on youtube I could check out to get a better understanding of how to make blueprints? That's my main issue. I can make stuff but I like to be extremely detailed so I've been looking into this and feel like I'm just getting better with floor plans.
Thanks for this and thank's in advance. I'll keep looking around and reading though.

Nothing a good Google search can't sort out, I'd recommend looking into scaling props and costumes more than anything, and practcing a medium your comfortable with.
I feel this book covers a lot of good topics to when first starting out, it talks about making blueprints digitally, but a I know a good number of professional people who still hand draw their templates:

Very cool! Many thanks for making these available. I'm sure many people will find these useful.
(My Jaune and I will be working on our Team JNPR weapons so these don't help us all too much, but they're still cool to check out and share with other cosplayers!)

First thing i noticed is Weiss's Myrtenaster have a trigger on the hilt which is small that you could barely notice it in its wielder's hand.
No wonder how it could spin/reload around.

Spent a really long time parsing all these things out from the trailers, and lost the folder I'd put them in. Just like that, gone. A friend linked me to you, please let me say I'm very grateful for you being willing to share this. Having done it once myself, I know how much effort it must've taken. Thank you so much
