A little box of grief and unendless tears

Bringing perpetual pain to the inquisitive

As they sought for the unsoughtable

A tiny pang of greatest agony

As it opens to its inquirer with unending nights of horror

Let my curiosity lead me not

To the dreadful box of Pandora

Least I be ostracized and hunted

At the youthful bloom of my days

About The Myth - Reference

The word "box" is a mistranslation - in the original Greek,

Pandora was actually given a large storage jar, not a box.

However, today, almost everybody refers to Pandora's box, not Pandora's jar.

You might notice that there are similarities between the story of Pandora and the story of Eve in Genesis - both were the first woman,

both succumbed to the temptation of curiosity, both were responsible for all the bad things in the world.

Perhaps the retelling of the stories were influenced by each other when the Ancient Greeks conquered the world.

This is my entry for Pandora's Box Contest

Ok, I choose to not follow stereotypical image of people just foolishly open the forbidden box just to unleash doom and evil XD (because it just kinda suck for my mind ). So I decided if I make the scene like Boxception (get it ? Box + Inception = Boxception ). I created the box maybe 25 - 30 times larger which I have referenced above (in which it was originally large storage jar) and then make someone falling through it in seek of hope while the hope is in the smaller box she was lost a grasp. Originally I have the direction to make this image looks like my other piece, Don't Let Me Drown, but I realized the stock was difficult to find (the model stock for this piece actually the same so it was acually 2 stock images) and it is going to be boring .
