Cthulhu

In "The Call of Cthulhu", H. P. Lovecraft describes a statue of Cthulhu as "A monster of vaguely anthropoid outline, but with an octopus-like head whose face was a mass of feelers, a scaly, rubbery-looking body, prodigious claws on hind and fore feet, and long, narrow wings behind." Cthulhu has been described in appearance as resembling an octopus, a dragon and a human caricature, hundreds of meters tall, with webbed human-looking arms and legs and a pair of rudimentary wings on its back. Cthulhu's head is depicted as similar to the entirety of a gigantic octopus, with an unknown number of tentacles surrounding its supposed mouth. Cthulhu possibly could have the ability to make people lose their minds by visual contact with the entity.

Why I bring Cthulhu at the first place? I didn't even know this creature is evil or good, but from the imagery of the character I supposed it to be evil with gnarly looking monster body and octopus head with batwings XD, at the end, I never read lovecraftian tales yet XD, but for now, I think this is enough to give representation . I don't know if this was my first matte painting or not, but I really this was the first because I definitely use value mattes and give it texture from stock images .
