So, I wanted to revive some old Disney love, and came up with this.I've been listening to Menken's score a lot recently, and it just makes me wish that scripts like "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" would come back into Disney movies.
Oh, and I did this because I wanted to draw Claude Frollo..
...with glasses

This is just fabulous. Frollo looks so prissy and adorable in his glasses, and love the design on the chair, adds a nice touch.

Hunchback is my favourite Disney film. It's so underrated, and I love the very thematic Alan Menken score and the stirring songs-lyrics by Stephen Schwartz were ace as well. And the late Tony Jay as Frollo was arguably the greatest thing about the film.

And yeah, Disney does need to start doing more scripts that don't suck. Enchanted was fun, Princess and the Frog was really good (seriously, when they manage to make the redneck firefly absolutely ADORABLE, you know they're doing something right), but they're the only good ones since, like... Treasure Planet.

I never saw Princess and the Frog for some reason. I think it didn't really appeal to me in some way, dunno why.
I liked the "darkness" of older films, with adult themes. Kids know a lot and they can handle more mature themes in my opnion.

Yeah, that's defintely why Hunchback is my favorite. PatF actually managed to bring some of that in, which is why I love it so very much- they haven't trusted kids with darker stuff in FOREVER. It's nowhere near anything on Hellfire's level, but still, there's a touch of racism, some blood, guns, a legit character death.... they went back to trusting kids not to be traumatized, and it was awesome.
