Pencil drawing on Bristol sheet. When I read this scene in HTTYD Book 9, How To Steal A Dragon's Sword, I felt compelled to do this illustration.The black background did not come out exactly as I wanted it to, but there's a lot that I like in this drawing. Drawn with HB, 3B, 4H, and Ebony Black pencils.
Of Course, the characters belong to Cressida Cowell.

Thank you. The book series has become my favorite book series too. I love the overall message of the series and I love how there are so many little (and big) scenes in it that set the stage for dun fan art like this.
