Hotah had not the strength to hunt buffalo, nor the speed to patrol the border, and so he was tasked with the lowest position a Wallowian wolf could have: pup sitting. Despite baring the public shame of his inadequacies, Hotah took to his post in stride, and found great reward in raising the next generations.

Hotah tells his young pupils the brave story of Cheveyo, the selfless wolf who risked his life to defend his pack against the monstrous Wallowan lake monster. He teaches the pups that their imaginations are a powerful thing.
