"See this Scanner enhancement rod R4?" She stated showing the Astromech the rod.R4 turned it's head to look at the item. It beeped and hooted it's enthusiasm.
"I know, this is what's needed to improve our Scanner efficiency." Jarine said exiting the foggy water.
"Here's the plan for phase 3 of our Research." She began.
"I'll place this rod in the Spectroscopic scanner, while you reprogram and link the other Triangulators!"
Ra rocked back and forth in agreement, beeping.
"Next we'll aim the Spectral Scanner at the stairs and began the deep scan. I can use my holo emitters to monitor the progress.
You'll stay connected to make sure power is correct, feedback, and false readings are taken into account okay?"
Beeps emerged from the Mech.
Taking her helmet off Jarine set about her task, as the Astromech began to run it's calculations.
She knelt down and began her portion of the endeavor. What neither had noticed was the figure
that appeared in the dense fog a short distance away in the woods.
Jarine was in trouble, and she didn't even know it.
