This came out a lot better than my first pic in this vein. Thanks again to and for helping me past some anatomy issues!

Story:

Vance smiled. “Congratulations, Carmen, you just learned the hard way why it's a bad deal to take the Goathead Valley shortcut! Well, at least they're only flat on the bottom!”

Carmen rolled her eyes at the cliché joke. “This isn't that funny, Vance!”

“I would almost say that it's hysterical!”

Carmen's ears wilted and she put on her best hurt kitten look. Unfortunately the tall grey fox had his back to her. “Vance! What am I supposed to do now?”

“I'll head back to the ranch and get the big compressor, tire irons, a better jack. I should probably hit town and see if they have a set of tubes. With all those sidewall punctures, I don't know if we can reliably fix all the holes. You stay here and keep an eye on the Jeep. I should be back in a few hours.”

“I, what!??!” Carmen goggled, her ears fell flat, but her tail shook. “Leave me here?!?”

“Well, you did get all the thorns out. There's a decent mini compressor in the Jeep, but I don't know how long they will hold air. You can see how far you can get. Just be careful that you don't shred the sidewalls.”

“But, why not let me ride in your car?”

“Because you make the cutest expression of dismay I've ever seen, and I want to see how long I can keep you guessing!”

Vance had enough of a lead to escape Carmen's initial lunge.

“Come here you jerk! I'm going to claw that irritating smirk right off your smug snout!”
