.... it just occurred to me again after all these years, but how is it Mew can keep up with Mewtwo in battle? Mewtwo was specifically enhanced for peak performance. It is literally called the most powerful Pokemon. Does Mewtwo pull its punches so as not to kill some individuals?

he may be built to be the strongest pokemon but Mew is still incredibly powerful, I don't think Mewtwo was pulling his punches against Mew in that initial fight

It was a drawn out battle, the only reason it ended was because ash interfered but my guess is it wouldn’t have kept going until they destroyed themselves
