“Feb. 6th - Mew gave birth. We named the newborn Mewtwo”

no this isn’t a joke, more like playing with a what-if idea where the story went with the old game journal entries where Mewtwo was actually stated as Mew’s offspring. What if he was born as a regular Mew but stolen by Team Rocket and experimented on and turned into what he is now. He has no idea and Mew probably wouldn’t tell him for fear of how he’d react

You know it could also be that when team rocket was stealing the baby they accidentally killed baby two and cloned mewtwo from the remains making this much more sadder. Team rocket just says its an “old fossil”, but if it was a fossil they would’ve revived it, not clone it.

That is true, or even perhaps baby two died from the experiments and they still used it’s body as a sort of foundation for Mewtwo

Yeah, I mean even as a baby mew he was still technically a clone, since I see Mews not needing a partner to reproduce he has all the same DNA Mew does

I didn't think of it being like that, to be honest. I figured they had Mew in a lab and made it somehow produce an egg and the baby was already mutated from a forced birthing process.

it could have gone either way who knows, stealing and changing the baby Mew or Mew being in the lab with the experiments happening to Mewtwo even before birth
