“Feb. 6th - Mew gave birth. We named the newborn Mewtwo”
no this isn’t a joke, more like playing with a what-if idea where the story went with the old game journal entries where Mewtwo was actually stated as Mew’s offspring. What if he was born as a regular Mew but stolen by Team Rocket and experimented on and turned into what he is now. He has no idea and Mew probably wouldn’t tell him for fear of how he’d react

Oh man, forgot about that piece in in game lore. Poor Mew, it also gives a really good reason for Mew to seem so especially attached to Mewtwo.

what would happen in if in a previous comic you made that mewtwo had a nightmare and ash could see it, what if mew has this dream again and by accident mewtwo is able to see it

I’ve actually heard that there may have been several mews at the beginning of the world.... but the number was never ever suggested
(also sudden theory fodder on if mews can reproduce asexually in essence bc They’re such a “perfect” creature already)
if we are going to entertain the idea that this mew is mewtwo’s literal mother from before his being bio engineered/ “upgraded”....
I don’t know how the mother mew copes, how she is able to be so plucky when Mewtwo is often uninterested and prickly and now on top of it literally doesn’t remember her as his mother and actively rejects the idea outright
though maybe she’s able to be patient because now they have plenary of time to heal... and mew seems to be better at letting things go being much older herself.
also it’s hilarious when baby mew is being too spinny even for momma mew’s liking.

I think Mew is just happy to be around her baby again even if he’s not entertaining the thought at all, at least he’s there again and doesn’t have her like he did before
and yep XD I like to think the only power baby two could display was float and spin in place so Mew has to keep hold of him

Honestly, I think I prefer this over what was established in the movie. It makes Mewtow's origin a little more tragic imho.

The games state "It [Mewtwo] was created by a scientist after years of horrific gene-splicing and DNA-engineering experiments," (Pokemon LeafGreen and Pokemon X versions). The first Pokemon Movie stated that scientists found a fossil of Mew's eyelash (wat) in a place called "Guyana jungle", and used the fossil to clone DNA for Mewtwo. It could go either way, honestly, especially since game cannon and anime cannon tend to vary quite a bit.

To see your child turned into something some much unlike what he should have been, but unwilling to tell him what should have been and having to befriend him as a stranger...

It leads to a lot more drama possibility and makes it sad for not only Mewtwo but Mew as well, especially with their first interaction on New Island when Mewtwo tried to destroy Mew, with mew maybe being overjoyed to find him again after all this time at first but then realizing what he’s trying to do and how hateful and angry he is
