It looks like a mix between Venom and the Prometheus alien, then again I'm not a comic/spider man buff so my image of venom may be off. All I remember of that guy is big open mouth, lots of teeth, drool and black.

Prometheus, just a guess though. I like the way you've used highlights on the alien as it gives a slimy texture. ( which it would have given that it came out of the milky white huge humanoid alien dude) but wouldn't it be a bit bloody aswell. Not that I'd know what colour the dudes blood was but I'm gonna guess blue because he was so pale. ^^

This one is more fleshy than the original alien. The original alien was more mechanical looking. This one I think might look even scarier. For the plot's sake, hopefully that thing followed David and Shaw on the ship. I want to see more of it in the sequel!

Actually, the Xenomorph eggs on the ship in ALIEN have been there for thousands of years, just like the space jockey who has his chest blown out from one of them.
So this creature has little to do with the Xenomorphs (since it doesn't even come from those eggs).
Prometheus happens in 2089 or whatever.
ALIEN happens in 2122.
The ship in ALIEN already has been crashed for millennia, the eggs in there all that time.
So yeah, once again, this creature is like comparing humans and monkeys; probably same common ancestor, but this isn't the xenomorph 'before it evolved' at all. The Xenomorph has already evolved by this point (face huggers exist). It's just the crew of the Prometheus didn't encounter proper Xenos.

Dont forget that in the comics and in AVP movies the xenomorphs were on earth thousands of years ago so the xenomorph have existed far longer than prometheus takes place.

That's actually pretty informing. I just remember reading one of the 'director's interview' things they have before and after the movie is released. It said that the Deacon was a precursor to the actual Xenomorph. But I do actually agree with you on the timeline issue. Maybe the Xeno are a product of the bio-weapon being used thousands of years before Prometheus? And the Deacon is being used as another explanation to it's beginnings? It would be great to have someone actually properly explain the connection between the two.

The facehugger that came from Holloway and Shaw was probably different from the ones that got the engineers and impregnated them. Therefore, wouldn't the xenomorph baby have been different, too?

Well, from what they say in the movie. The Engineers and the human race are the same thing. I don't really know how detailed they plan on going into that, though. I suppose the next movie will explain it more?

There were no female engineers, therefore the idea that one of them become infected and produced a facehugger from a womb is not possible. For there to be such an outbreak, that would mean that all the engineer guys got infected and got jiggy and produced womb bursters. No...the facehugger was different that produced the deacon. It came from a human being's SPERM so it had it's DNA and was fertilized differently.
Really, though. There is no point in arguing or debating when it comes to a sci-fi film where in the movie, people can travel half a billion miles from Earth and watch people's dreams on a TV screen and there are robots indistinguishable form mankind and giant humanoid beings on a spaceship. xD

it's a deacon from the film prometheus, the ancestor of the xenomorphs. it's a prototype xenomorph that killed the last engineer.

Looks great! I actually wish the Deacon's teeth were more like you drew them here, although that might not have worked on the screen (I"m not a director hehe).

I'm convinced people don't like to think these days. Prometheus raises a lot of unanswered questions like good sci-fi should. It's supposed to make you theorize and come up with your own explanations but somehow people have forgotten that.
