:::: UPDATE :::: I re-rendered it. I like this render better!
:::: UPDATE ::::These are the only mechs that I consider good "enough" anymore. All of the older ones I made suck now... when I compare them to these newer ones. I thought I would post this to show that the style is consistant. I also wanted everyone to see the size of the mechs. This was the bast way to show that.

Yeah I had a few years worth of 3d models that i thought I had backed up on a dvd. Then the HD crashed and I realized I lost the DVD! Sucked and it took a while before I could do 3d stuff again after that. I was friggin' pissed for a long time.

Yeah, I was thinking of doing that model again too. I may try it in a quad setup. I have been wanting to do a quad mech but.. I'm still a little burnt' out on mechs at the moment. I will make more though!!

i was having a conversation with a friend the other day on the topic of mechs. and how the extensive use of bipeds is horridly misleading as in a true tactical environment they would not likely be used for a great many reasons. and that when and if mechs do appear on the battlefeild they will likely be primarily quadripedal. as it offers greater stability and a lower taget profile along with a lower center of gravity

i really like the 413-DHP Doppelhund - it reminds me of the days i use to play Mechwarrior.. "OVERHEAT" i hated that

I really the uniform colo scheme that ties all the mechanical droids together really well and the perspective adds to the complimentary coolness of this concept! =-)
