Swirlleaf and Leopardclaw met as apprentice, Leopardpaw only slightly older than her, they more or less grew up together, though they were far from friends. Both were hot-headed, many of their conversations devolving into arguments at only the slightest provocation. Because of this, they never really trained together, but both worked hard during their apprenticeships, both seeming to excel on their own. Around the same time, a rogue began terrorizing the clan cats, and no one seemed to be spared. Warriors and apprentices alike were found far from camp, dead. It was the saving of one of his clan mates that seemed to finally put Leopardpaw in the spotlight. With the word of his clan mate, and having proven himself in battle, he was awarded his warrior name Leopardclaw two moons early, and thus, moved out of the apprentice's den and away from Swirlpaw.

However, time and space seemed to do them both good, as they both grew older, their tempers settled and Leopardclaw realized he had really come to enjoy the she-cats company. Both cats were quiet the talkers and enjoyed stroking each other's ego as much as they did their own, her spit fire attitude meshed well with his own shappishness. Soon Swirlpaw became Swirlleaf, named for her superb climbing ability, and so they were both warriors. It was no secret that they often kept each other company, though it was still a pleasant surprise to the clan when they announced their mateship, and not soon after, Swilleaf revealed she was carrying his kits as well.

The crisp autumn air helped clear his mind of Trath’s harsh words as he tried to enjoy himself. He closed his eyes, allowing his paws to lead the way as he let the worries of the rest of his life drift away. He exiled a breath he didn’t realize he was holding. It was easy to forgot how stressful being in camp was. He was so used to feeling on edge that anytime he got away from everyone else, a huge weight was lifted off his shoulders.
He blinked a few times, taking in the sight of the colored leaves on the trees, finding himself near the first marker, he paused, glancing around to make sure nothing seemed out of place or strange. There had been reports of strangers spotted around the border, but he hadn’t seen anyone on his way over, not that he was paying much attention. Cetus was convinced they were just rouges passing through and it would dissipate soon.
  Nothing seemed out of place with the marking, so he moved on quickly, enjoying the look of the trees with fading leaves that looked like flames moving in the wind.

He closed his eyes, allowing his paws to lead the way as he let the worries of the rest of his life drift away. He exiled a breath he didn’t realize he was holding. It was easy to forgot how stressful being in camp was. He was so used to feeling on edge that anytime he got away from everyone else, a huge weight was lifted off his shoulders.
He blinked a few times, taking in the sight of the colored leaves on the trees, finding himself near the first marker, he paused, glancing around to make sure nothing seemed out of place or strange. There had been reports of strangers spotted around the border, but he hadn’t seen anyone on his way over, not that he was paying much attention. Cetus was convinced they were just rouges passing through and it would dissipate soon.
  Nothing seemed out of place with the marking, so he moved on quickly, enjoying the look of the trees with fading leaves that looked like flames moving in the wind.
