Cream would be perfect as one of Eggman's robot henchmen, then we'd have a far more useful and interesting character then that annoying high-pitched crying baby.

Ok, I don't understand the whole 'Roboticized Masters' thing, but I love the design you did for Cream
I never thought I'd see her looking so dangerous. Great work

I really loved how you didn't just make Cream and Vanilla 'adult and child' versions of each other but gave each their own unique design.

Well time to give my thoughts on these works of art.

Bunny Woman: Okay the aesthic for me works a lot better with actually the figure of the design. And I like how you show how one hand is a glove and the other is a canon, as well as the little white stripped appendanges (I don't know the exact name for them. They look like buttons but not the drill like claws Cream's Robot Master form has) and the shape of the "boots" and the "attire" of the tubetop and pantied bottoms. Personally the two little screws on the patnied bottom I find distracting but it works for her. And I really love how you designed hte ears for her though I like Rhythm's better but more on that when I get to her. Really the only problem I have with this is... I don't like the colors. Or rather I like the colors fine but I don't like the shading of the colors. I get what you were going for by having it be a darker shade then with Robot Master Cream since that's how Vanilla is already and thus so should her robotmaster but I don't know... doesn't really wokr that much for me. Which feels like kind of a more minor nitpick since otherwise I really like the design but I don't know the shading just feels off. Maybe if it was lighter or hell a really dark contrast to Cream's robot master form that would offset the two better but as it is now it just doesn't work it honestly should. I think this isn't so much a problem as much as just my own personal taste... I guess you can say that for a lot of reviews in general but again this just feels more like something I just don't like then a general issue.

Tempo: I'm going to assume that like Treble and Bass, Tempo is the "cute animal sidekick" and Rhythm is the actual roboticized master. So yeah I'm going to say that Cheese is Tempo right? So yeah what do I think about him? Honesty he's the weakest of the three presented here. I guess you didn't just want to go with an Omachao like figure and wan't to make him your own robotic chao design which is fine but this really doesn't work. Honestly it feels like a chao in a set of armor or Gotusmon (that little rookie rock Digimon from the first season who was killed by Myotismon... I mean sent to the "virtual dungeon") then what should be a mechnical chao. Not to mention that this time, I really do have more then just an aestic issue with the colors. They just feel bland and boring. What, grey and more grey? You could of worked more with doing a lighter and more shiny blue/green mix like Cheese actually have or hell incoperarte his bowtie which is like his big disgtuinshing characeristic from nearly every other average chao. I think what hurts this one the most though is the expression: it looks a bit confused/nonchalant which doesn't sit well with the more menancing and threathening looks of the other two characters Like they were made to be deadly fierce roboticzed masters and he was just... there. I do really like the spark on the top of his head as it feels like a good extension of mixing what he was as a chao with what he is now and feels like that gives him some firepower but yeah that's the only thing I really like about this guy. Heck you could of at least given him a cannon or a drill or I don't know something cause otherwise he doesn't feel so much a roboticzed master as he does someone hot glued some tin onto a chao.

Rhythm: Cream Robot Master on the other hand... yes yes, a thousand times yes. So far my favorite of the ones you've done. Unlike Bunny Woman I really love the colors being used here. Yeah there is a bit more yellow and beige then Cream's normal pallette but it really fits what you've come up with and actually helps her stand out a lot more. And since these robots aren't made for stealth I want them to stand out. Plus this one actually gets to see that her tail is like a giant screw which actually is a good mix between adorably creative yet still with a nice twinge of malice, especially with the way she's posing. I also like the little button on her claw. I don't know what it's for but you could imagine it doing so much: a laser, a flamethrower, a charging device for a power punch. Anything and it would fit really well. I also really like the black marks at the bottom of her feet that represented where her "toes" would of been, that jointed hole in her arm which looks like it could fit some good attachemtns for her to carry as weapons, the expression and above all else, the ears. Oh god those are some awesome mechnical ears! Those claws sticking out of the end and those drills on top and how they hang yet at the same time feel perfectly natural right next to her just really works for me. Feels like they could instantly slice and tear things apart in a second if they wished to which I would really like to see. Plus I also unlike some of the other characters actually like the name choice for Cream's roboticzed master form. Fits nice with the treble and bass aesthic. I think a fan combo has used it before but hey that doesn't mean you can't use it here so good on you.

So yeah overall I would probably give Bunny Woman a 8 out of 10, Tempo a 3.5 out of 10, but Rhythm a very solid 10/10. Hope to see more great designs like her and uh... hopefully less like Tempo in the future if you know what I mean.

Good thing this art wasn't a commission for you then hmm?

You didn't pay for it so this criticism was a waste of time.

This artist didn't request critique. Please remember that since it is an option on Deviant Art. Most people dislike it if you don't read that part up.

Go search for artwork with requests for critique and by god if you are going to be giving criticism learn to do it properly. You are meant to be helping an artist progress not giving your views and dislikes.

I cant read minds so really if you are specifically looking for something in the design you should really tell me.

Normally I dont even take commissions that dont provide a clear reference so these take time. Also Chao are tiny, you really cant work much with that little body.

"if you are looking for something in the design you should really tell me"

Well this is Alex's commission not mine. Just giving my thoughts on what I like about them and what I don't like about them. Really none of my comments you have to take seriously or as law. I'm just a critic and I like talking about what I feel works and what doesn't and just expressing that with this picture. And again Alex is the one who commissioned you so really his opinion probably is really the only one that matters here but that doesn't mean I can't give mine. I was more strict about it before since I thought this more tightly connected to a story we're doing but it doesn't so yeah sorry about being more aggressive about my opinion before but now I'm just giving it.

"Also Chao are tiny, you really cant work much with that little body."

- I'm aware of that but again just saying it didn't work for me. Especially since I can picture a roboticzed master Chao that IMHO has a better appeal but again this is all my opinion man.

It surprises me that somebody can be so anal to post full description's of fictional characters that honestly hardly anyone cares about onto artist comments thus spamming the fuck out of said artists inbox.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

alexwarlorn In reply to TwistedLabMouse [2013-04-28 05:17:37 +0000 UTC]

If you mean the previous Roboticized Masters work, I was the one who commissioned it, so I felt I had the right to post a fanon description.

Are you okay? This is rather surprising to have such a hostile comment. And the artist has not complained. And spamming implies random or indiscriminatingly repetitive. Or that's the definition I've experienced at least.

I am sorry if I have offended you in some fashion. But the artist has not shown hostile reaction to my comments to my knowledge.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

TwistedLabMouse In reply to alexwarlorn [2013-04-28 05:21:05 +0000 UTC]

No, I mean that instead of giving critique on the art work that is not complaining you decide to post something that should be saved for your own page, aka posting full on profiles and spamming.

I am hostile because you keep on badgering her, instead of being thankful that she willing to take on such a big order you just like to find the negatives to everything, she might not have said anything but as a fellow artist that is pissing me off.

alexwarlorn In reply to TwistedLabMouse [2013-04-28 05:26:28 +0000 UTC]

I paid for it. I have a right to point out a bug in the design. If someone who had paid me to write a story pointed out an obvious error on my part, I like to hope I would accept I had made a mistake. C8LIN did not respond hostile or verbally violent in response to my comment, which shows their maturity.

And the idea was to inspire her to post it in the artwork description. Since she did the same with her Kingdom Hearts/Sonic fanon hybrids. It was a form of tribute.

And I am sorry that you feel I am attacking C8LIN, but the discussion was already over by the time you started posting.

Seriously, are you okay?

I'm trying to be civil, and I am not trying to start a fight.

Since I commissioned this art, and gave the base idea for it, I kinda have a vested interest in what people think of it.

I am sorry if you think I am posting on random pieces of artwork looking for attention, but that is simply not the case.

You are a noble and proactive individual for wanting to protect C8LIN from what you perceive as harassment or/and abuse.
