A companion piece to go with fav.me/d89jdfp ; it's a M10 commander (or is it?) asking for help from a forward observer in the context of the Girls und Panzer universe.

Basically, I thought of a fan-story based on my previous work titled "Girls und Panther" fav.me/d89jdfp where it takes place one year before the Girls und Panzer anime and it is the semifinals between Kuromorimine and Saunders academy. In this unwritten story, the Panther crew basically, to help with recon, quickly gathered scrap metal and hastily tried to make their German Panther tank to resemble the M10 tank destroyer (rather than making the tank look like the M10 during production). Thus echoing or referencing the Battle of the Bulge (where the Germans basically disguised several Panthers to look like M10s in order to cause confusion.)

I took liberties with the "ersatz panther" (or as a certain game would call the Panther/M10).

In essence, I just wanted an excuse to draw a Panther/M10 in the context of the Girls und Panzer universe.

I wanted to draw this scene for a long time. Actually, I wanted to draw this right after drawing "Girls und Panther," but I shelved it because I had no idea how to draw a winter landscape, and other things.

I finally decided during my winter break to buckle down and actually do this. It seems that I am still rusty, but overall, I am relatively pleased by the overall result.
