Thanks. Chloe actually told me to go wild on the colors for her hair and outfits back when we first discussed X-key. I patterned her outfit after things Chloe actually wore too. I just made sure I made it a step more outrageous. I want this character to have the same kind of personality as Chloe, but make it a step louder in some ways. As far as the design goes, I already know that I am going to change the jacket. I'm working on changing her boots. Still, I think I will keep with this overall scheme. I've only been working with these designs for a few days and I feel I have made good progress.

This is why you post sketches on dA..so you can see the gradual process of your concept I'm liking it so far, and it's a very cool tribute to Chloe..I'm sure she would have loved it
Anything in particular that you'd change on the boots/jacket? I'm one of those people who hate to change/re-work things...once I make a drawing, that's pretty much it It's a habit I'm trying to change though lol.

Hmmm...I could've sworn I posted a reply this. anyway

I'm the same way, I probably will not touch this drawing again. I'd prefer to just do a new drawing altogether, and have the changes that I want on that piece. As far as what I would specifically change I think the jacket could use some more detail (like changes to the stitching), and the boots are too similar to another character I made in a different story. There are also some stylistic things I would do differently in a fully finished piece. This one is more like a color key, since there are no effects or background here. Its just shading and color. I want to get a color pic of X-key's rival sometime today or tomorrow. Hey if you want to see, I can post how this drawing is layered.
