This is me up in stilts yet again but this time as a kind of satyr wolf thingy... gonna be wearing this getup (or something like it) at Sakuracon this year!! Yay!!Related content

It is the most clothing I can possibly wear with these stilts because a person does indeed generate quite a bit of heat while walking in them. I had the full wolf suit the first year and thought I might die from being too warm. So long as a person does it only every so often, it's totally fun and worth the warmth though...

Feels like it took ages to do, but it is a solid month of work for the stilts, and then another month for the costume to go over them. I also had lots of help. I think I have a post on here with my newest set of stilts on it... with directions even... I think... ^^

Lol, thanks! If a really skinny person puts these on, it changes the look of the creature. Spidery and kind of scary versus earthy and round like me. I love my tummy too, but would love it even more if it were a bit more tight.

Squee! Yep! I am glad I have the hooves in that pic instead of the wolf toes in the pic here. Gonna post that one soon! Thanks for the link!! After the IBT party and my right stilt breaking, I had to run home and weld it back up so I could attend Sakuracon the next weekend. Sucks when they break! I will try my best to answer any questions you have for me about building a set, just drop me a message on here.

I love costuming, so I spend allot of time working on them. (I really love this photo guy cause the pics he took made this costume look VERY good. You can't see the little problems with it) Velcro is both your friend and your enemy with fur.. lol... and boy is fur hot... Glad you enjoy taking a look!!

the most painful thing about wearing these stilts is that my big toe gets a big sore after long time standing. Walking helps to keep things good, but posing for pics gets really Really painful after a few hours. (my longest straight time in the stilts and full wolf costume was 8 hours)

cant wait to see! though on the stilts do you think you should add just a little foam padding to get rid of the wrinkles? its not a big thing but especially in the back of the legs i noticed you had some baggyness i think a bit of padding might fix that

Yeah I know (blush blush) but getting me up in the stilts and then trying to add anything to it is murder... the folks who were helping me at first have been so busy lately that I have no help for 'fleshing' out my legs better... sigh...
