You remind me of a young lady who posed as a faun at the local RenFest this weekend.Β I was a druid.Β We spoke for a while and I asked her about her special footwear.Β She said they were okay, except on slopes and loose rocks and sticks.

Okay, so kinda a newb at this whole thing, but I have a question... Sorry if this seems obvious or dumb, but are these easy to walk/run in? Just out of curiosity!Β

I have one pair of these (I think these are made the same way I made mine at least) and I do not recommendΒ running, unless you want to fall over a couple of times, but walking in them is pretty easy. I wore mine 5 hours straight and didn't trip or hurt myself once.

I was wondering, do you walk on other types of stilts (traditional peg stilts or power stilts). If you do, how does it compare to these?

I love fauns, and I'm looking to get my own costume pulled together. Your hooves and lower legs look fantastic, and hide your real feet VERY well; how did you do it? :'D

What fur did you use to make this, if I may ask? I really like the color, length, and texture. Also, I'm pretty new to sewing in general, but pants seem like the hardest bloody thing. Did you use a pattern for the faun fur pants, or sewed the fur to a pair of tights or jeans? Did you need a zipper or elastic waist band to keep it in place? Such amazing work!!! I'm thoroughly impressed, and very excited to attempt this for the Labyrinth Mascarade!

i understand that you're busy at the moment, but i second the opinion about you making some sort of tutorial for the hooves.
my sibling and friends were fauns at a convention about a month ago and their hooves were made out of heel-less stilettos and wood. it was very very painful and a huge hassle. it would be lovely if we could figure out how to make them more comfortable, as you did.
i know that you made a sort of blue-print, but it's a little difficult to understand. if you ever have time, would you be willing to make some sort of tutorial video? or step-by-step instructions?
i'm very sorry for all of the bother.

It kind of looks like you're hovering a hoof-space above the ground <.< Am I just missing something or do you not actually have hooves?

Haha! now that you mention it...! But I do have hooves, theyΒ΄re just dark and seem to melt in with the ground. Strange.

The tarsal/metatarsal is basically a human's foot or that last part of a faun's/goat's leg. Sorry for the terminology - I wasn't sure what else to call it.
