I think most episodes exist because a simple misunderstanding that could be easily fixed. I know it's just a kids show but still fun to poke at.

I was thinking that the only way that could get to her would be that no two cutie marks are the same and all cutie marks are registered with the postal delivery service.
A different way the episode could have gone - which surely they'd never do it - Sweetie Belle could have found out it was from Big Mac prior to finding out it was for Sugar Belle, and made the assumption Big Mac now had a crush on her.
