Hold on first we're talking about pronouns...now we're talking about verbs? What the hell is this? a third grade language arts class?

If someone experiences gender dysphoria, why can't they call themself "a transgender" or "transgendered" or even just "queer"/"a queer"? Even if you belong to that group, you have no right to decide what others in that group can and cannot say to describe themselves or that a word that they use to describe themselves is "weird" or "silly" or just plain "wrong" to you and therefore should not be used at all.
I, myself, am white and am offended by racial slurs that are used against white people, but there are white people who have reclaimed them and other white people who simply aren't offended by them at all, even when they areΒ used as racial slurs against white people. As such, I have no right to tell other white people that I feel that it's wrong to call themselves those terms to me and therefore should not be used at all, even though I, myself, belong to that group and am offended by them when used as slurs.
((off topic, but sorry that I repeated many phrases and such, I am just horrible at explaining things even in English, which is my native language, so I tend to repeat things to make people aware that I was talking about this one specific thing and not some non-related other thing that just so happens to be similar to my explanation))

I kinda go back and forth with this one. I'm a big stickler with grammar, but "I am transgender" just doesn't sit right for me. I don't know, maybe I like it.

So folks with beards shouldn't be called bearded, then?

You make the choice to have a beard/let it grow, but you don't make the choice to be transgender.

That's... not how language works. Whether you chose to be a certain way or not has no impact over the adjectives that describe you. If you're going to argue language, your argument should be based in language, not actions.

So why don't people say 'homosexualed' or 'lesbianed'? Because it sounds dumb, that's why. Language doesn't always follow rules, especially English. It evolves like many things do.
Care to try again?

Sometimes words sound dumb no matter how you conjugate 'em Just because the phrasing "sounds dumb" doesn't mean we should crusade against it
"Redhead" isn't a verb, but people can still be redheaded.
Language not always following rules is what I was joking about in my original post.

Saying it sounds dumb was just me putting it lightly. 'Transgendered' implies that something occurred for it to happen or it was inflicted onto somebody, like it's a disease or something. Simply comparing it to other words that end in '-ed' is irrelevant, and that's not even mentioning that you actually compared being transgender to having a beard. If you don't see the flaw in that, then we'll probably never find a middle ground.

I did not compare being transgender to having a beard, I compared the WORD "transgendered" to the WORD "bearded." It was a shitty one-liner, nothing more. You're the one who took issue to it, months after I'd literally forgotten I'd ever even said it.

Alright, fair enough. I suppose I misunderstood your initial tone for condescension.

I'm sorry it came across that way, and for how I've reacted. I tend to take it way too personally when people disagree with me on the internet
