These look great!
But tbh, they don't remind me too much of Dream Team O:
They look more like if Sonic Advance got the Mania treatment, which is also cool in itself

It's always an entirely different challenge to make something look like it's in someone else's artstyle. That's why a lot of new sprites in old games that get updated re-releases tend to look out of place. (though sadly, all examples of this case escape my mind)

I'm in a situation where I'm just trying to learn to mimic a bunch of styles (For learning purposes) and I've become very OCD with trying to do that instead of improving my fundamentals like I should be.

If you fully learn your fundamentals, you'll be able to make anything look amazing even it if doesn't fit the artstyle your aiming for. I had to learn that the hard way O: So I highly recommend you learn those things before you end up going through what I did :/
I have not the kind of experience to be able to tell you what you should do as an artist(I mean, even your drawing skills are tons better than mine), but I'd like to tell you that your artstyle and colors that you use are really great already, and learning more of the fundamentals would make your art even better.
Basically, I think it's still always good to experiment with special styles, but if you learn enough general art techniques and things, you'll be prepared for pretty much any artstyle.
