To be fair, from what i've heard there should be around 6 or 7 levels of warp, so while all chaos is warp, not all warp is chaos, and that the warp powers that rune priests used was not chaos (which was either level 6 or 7), but one of the others. This was also why Leman nor his sons was after Khan and the whitescars, because in their own words what they those speedstars were using was "3 steps away from chaos". Not to mention that i've heard something about that rune priests gets golden eyes, something we've only seen with The Emperor, saints, legion of the damned and so on, and that rune priests were the hardest psykers to corrupt next to grey knights. That and the runes that space wolf had was seen to dispell chaos and sometimes even remove corruption.
