Welp, time to enter another OCT... this time something completely out of my comfort zone!

Name: Floala vi Trh, beloved Trh of the first succession of Xanta (Flow-ahh-la vee Tr-ih, Zan-tah)

Alias/Nickname: Trh (it is considered very impolite to refer to her by her given name unless permission is expressly given), Floala (if allowed)

Species: Glibby (Plural: Glibbys)

Planet: Xanta

Age: 6 (Their species matures very quickly and reaches adulthood at age 5. In human years, she is around 17 years old)

Height/Weight: 3.2 feet, 19kg. She is moderately overweight.

Gender: Female

Reason for entering: To win a precious metallic compound used as an energy source called Xantite. This is mined by glibbys on their home planet to trade with other species for resources (largely electronic materials, spaceships and desirable non-essential items). The prize will be used to settle a large debt they owe to a species called the Zunths, who supplied many of the resources glibbys required to become a civilized society. This will allow them to become an independent, self-sufficient economic power.

Strengths:
- Her species is generally agile and flexible.

- They are primarily tree-dwellers meaning they are excellent climbers and can hang around for long periods of time (they climb a little like sloths or monkeys using their hind legs and tail). However, they are equally as comfortable hopping across the ground, although their mobility is more limited.

- Excellent eyesight. Her species can see for very long distances and are often able to see well-camouflaged creatures.

- Sharp claws on each other limbs, including her tailpaws.

- Her mouth is armed with extremely sharp teeth. Consequently, her bite can take large chunks out of most things easily, unless it is very well armored. However, it is very very difficult for her to bite anything that isn’t held in place by her tailpaws.

Abilities:
- She has two ‘gleaks’ on the top of her head, which act as her voicebox. These can also emit a strong, sweet-smelling compound. This was used in primal glibby mating rituals and is designed to attract a mate. However, this can also have a wildly varying impact on other species. Previously documented effects have included making the target sleepy, sluggish in movement, confused or, in unfortunate cases, amorous. On some occasions, it has no effect at all. This gas takes a lot of concentration and energy to produce and she can only produce it in limited quantities (enough for 3 blasts a day). The gas' effects last around 30 seconds.

- The two halves of her tail can act independently and can be used as extra limbs. Both sides of the tail have paws hidden in the fur, equipped with sharp claws (tailpaws). Floala uses her tail to hold items or wrap around enemies (or food).

- Low intelligence. She has basic comprehension skills but is fundamentally useless at any type of deep thought or existentialism, even more so than the typical glibby. This extends to her fighting skills and coordination, as she has never had to fend for herself.

- While Glibbys as a species have moderate stamina, Floala is overweight so her stamina is poor. She can't keep up acrobatics for very long.

- Poor hearing. Unless the sound is within three meters or is very shrill, she cannot hear it.

- Her head is particularly sensitive and, if attacked, will cause her severe amounts of pain. Direct blows are likely to cause confusion and incapacitate her for some seconds.

Floala is an absolute brat. Spoilt and isolated throughout her life, she has an expectation that life will give her everything she needs on a silver platter. She has little respect for others and, consequently, she is often pointedly rude, especially when she feels someone is beneath her (which is nearly always). Fortunately, she is as thick as a brick, which means her insults tend to be comically bad.

Her upbringing means she lacks wider awareness of how the world works and no knowledge of the universe outside her planet. This makes her truly oblivious to the real struggles and processes of life and can make her come across as naïve and childish. She is also very phased by anything and anyone different. This, combined with her general lack of social skills and experience, means she has trouble making friends (and not offending others in general).

Floala is a product of her culture and believes that females are inferior to males in every way. This belief extends to herself, meaning she has little faith in her abilities. However, her spoilt upbringing has also given her a rebellious streak. She is incredibly stubborn and refuses to listen to others or do what she’s told (especially in regards to her royal duties).

As a result of her privileged position, she very rarely mixed with the lower classes and, aside from a few visits to civilized glibby social circles, often spent her time entertaining herself in her room. To this day she has watched her brothers come and go, awaiting the day her suitor comes for her so she can start a family of her own.

Recognising that Zhar could be useful to them in their pursuit for resources, they gave him the equipment he needed to start his own business and better his species’ life. Mining Xantite with his own paws, Zhar began to use some of the material to pay off his debts and used the other portion to begin trade as a dealer, in line with his agreement with the Zunth. Slowly but surely, his business took off and he became a major supplier of metals and materials unique to Xanta. Before long, the Glibby’s turned to him as a leader and the First Succession was born. He built his dynasty from the ground up, birthing many children. The glibbys are now on the cusp of becoming an economic force. Their tendrils are spreading, with Zhar’s son’s doing business for him across the galaxy. Zhar’s subjects (the glibby commoners) mine and live under his instruction. However, their debt to the Zunths remains and this continues to limit their growth significantly, halting their progress to become self-sufficient.

- Floala has countless brothers, many of whom she's never met. Many of have started their own 'successions' (dynasties in their own area of the planet) or died undertaking royal duties. All Zhrs (princes) have a duty to increase the political power of the Glibbys; consequently they are often sent on diplomatic missions to collect items or settle debts (many of which end with fighting or death) on other planets.

- The ‘First Succession’ consists of the Kthr and Tahn (king and queen) and all of their children. The ‘Second Succession’ consists of the Zhr’s (princes) children, and so on. However, once the animal is close enough, they give chase and leap onto their prey. Their tailpaws hold the creature to their mouths and they slowly consume them.

- Glibby mouths are situated on their chest and are normally entirely hidden by a thick mane of fur. It is considered indecent to show your mouth or eat near others in civilized Glibby society, so Floala keeps her mouth hidden in company.

- All Glibby’s communicate in high pitched squeaks from their ‘gleaks’ (the cones on their heads). Their ‘mouths’ (situated on their chest) do not have vocal cords and they are unable to make any other type of sound.

- Glibbys are normally a dull green or brown in colour. However, Floala, as royalty, has access to fur dye, hence her unusual colour.

- Her species live in the trees. All of their abodes (including the palace) are treehouses.
